Went here with the intention of picking out a hunting rifle for my wife. We both handled four or five different models. We decided that we wanted to grab some food and talk about each rifle before making a decision. We chose what rifle she wanted and she approached the counter and told the salesman what she would like to purchase. He then pointed at me and said that I would have to purchase the rifle. I approached the counter and asked why I had to purchase it and was told that is “the law”. There is no law stating that a woman can’t purchase a rifle. He didn’t ask for my id he didn’t offer any other solution other than telling my wife that she can’t purchase a firearm. We left this garner nc location and drove over 2 hours to Wilmington where she purchased the same firearm for $100 cheaper and had much better customer service. I will not shop with bass pro again.

I have been coming here since this location in Garner opened. My wife and I bought our 2021 Sun Tracker pontoon boat here. I always bring it here when something happens to it. Most of it has been covered under the warranty. I had a trolling motor put on it shortly after buying the boat and went with (2) 12 volt lithium batteries that run $500 each. Since then I have brought the boat in 3 times because of some battery issues. This last time I brought the boat in 6/26/24. Today it’s 7/18/24, and still have not received the call to pick up my boat. The service department told my wife that one of the batteries for my trolling motor was faulty and that they would replace it. My question is why does it take over 3 weeks to replace the battery? Lady in the service department said the guy that specializes in that has been out on vacation and then had some family issues. Why has that become my problem? Fortunately it has been extremely hot this summer and fishing hasn’t been at the top of my list. Hopefully someone calls me back today…but not holding my breath!

By far the worst bass pro location I’ve been to. Idk who is in charge of the quality control and the fishing section, but they need to not be. It’s a 45-50 minute drive each direction from my house to spend money with them. The last 3 times I’ve bought a fishing pole I got home to find it damaged in some way. Yes I should have looked harder at it in store but with 2 small children this is very difficult. Not only that I had to wait 15 minutes with cashier for them to match their own price on their website! Absolutely ridiculous. The management and quality control are extremely lacking to say the least. Not I have another 1.5+ hour drive back to do returns. That’s over 4 hours out of my day just to try and stay a loyal customer.
