****UPDATE 9/9/24******
ZERO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED FROM HERE.
I have now had the car for exactly a month and it's been a wonderful car with no problems.
Mark, Dwayne, & Dawn are the best and make you feel like they want what's best for you and they are always professional and respectful.
I would 100% buy another car from Tri State Auto and I will definitely refer them to others!
Thanks again guys!!!
My father and I purchased a vehicle from Tri State Auto over the past weekend and had a good experience. Mark, Dawn, and the rest of the team there were kind, compassionate, and understanding. We purchased a one owner only Toyota Camry with no collision history, and only 95k miles!!! While we were there three other people were there trying to buy it as well but Mark was true to his word and gave my father first dibs since we arrived to test drive it before the rest of the customers. I've only been driving the car since this past Friday but I have not experienced any issues and it has been a fun and smooth ride so far; prayers up that this car lasts me until I finish my masters degree! (I refuse to have a car payment until I'm making a consistent salary.) I am so happy with the camry that we purchased from Tri State that I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing a safe, reliable, and low cost vehicle. Dawn was an earth angel, very professional, genuine, and knew exactly what she was doing!!! I would definitely purchase another used vehicle from Mark if needed in the future. Thank you all so much ?? purchasing this safe vehicle took so much stress and worry off of my shoulders and if anything crazy, random or bad happens with the vehicle, I'll post an update!!

They certainly need better communication. I was referred to Mark from another dealership. When I spoke with Mark I advise him that I would be traveling an hour to his location and I would need to confirm an approval along with down payment before making a trip. I advised him of my credit situation along with my available down payment. He stated that would be fine and for me to come on down. Once I arrived he didn’t remember our conversation, got my information confused and then told me he would need more in a down payment. I ended up wasting my time that I can never get back.
After reading all the other reviews I’m glad I was given a No.

This is from me discovering the vehicle on CarGurus and contacting them with the number provided on CarGurus.(Otherwise I would also be leaving this review on Cargurus instead)
Contacted this dealership with the utmost respect and calm. My speaking demeanor with them entailed a lot of "Yes/No ma'am and Yes/No sir's" with a polite tone of course because that is how I was raised. Anyway, moving on...
Speaking to the miss was a nice, but unfortunately a short interaction. The reason I say "unfortunately short", is because after I expressed my interest in the 2008 Honda Pilot, she then explained she would be then forwarding my call to the owner.
Here's where the interaction started out normal and somehow(which I do not know how or why..) went bad/south...
I then respectfully asked(the owner) if it had an AutoCheck or Carfax available for the car. He said yes, however, during the conversation, he continually pressured me multiple times into "giving a deposit" before anything. The more I stuck to my mindset of not giving a deposit(because I've never done that or have ever been pressured to do that at any private or corporate based dealership), because I wanted to see the car in person, the more angry & pressing he became. He also rudely mentioned that he didn't want to entertain "tire kickers", which isn't what anyone running a business should tell a potential customer/client. For me, that was him telling me if I don't go along with providing a initial (refundable)deposit, then I am just a "tire kicker". Which was very rude to me but I still spoke respecfully to the gentleman. Also, I did respecfully tell him that I was in the market for a vehicle like the Honda Pilot but I'm more of shopping around and seeing what's out there.
He eventually agreed to send me the vehicle history to my email. I skimmed over it because I was working, but did have the utmost intention of calling him back. Now, while it's not his fault because he did not know, still overall, I was working when he called ME back. I would think he would have the patience to at least allow the interested customer to call back first. But, everyone is different, so I won't fault him for that.
Anyway, after looking over the vehicle's history, I saw that the car lived the majority of it's life up north. So naturally, I was concerned about rust. Called back to respectfully decline my interest in the vehicle, he then asked why I was no longer interested and after I stated why, he quickly and rudely stated, "Yeah the car don't have any rust. Goodbye" and hung up. I was a bit taken back how rude he was even though I was absolutely respectful and never rude at all during the entire interaction with the owner over the phone calls that we had. Yet, he was angry, rude at times and then in the end, disrespectful. This is quite literally the only time I've ever had a negative interaction like this with a dealership in my entire life, and I hope this would be my last time experiencing something like this. Don't know why, but even after that negative experience, best wishes to them and their future sales.

Beware of dealers that do not disclose all information regarding a vehicle. Bought a 2008 Mercury Milan and it broke down with an engine leak after less than a week. Dealer has not warranty so will not do anything about it. Lesson learned and from experience now will never deal with a dealership like this again. Get a warranty on a used car it might just be worth more to have. Wont go back to this dealer or any other that is like this. NO AS IS with no Warranty Horrible
You damn liar....I bought the car like 2 weeks ago at most ...I will update with the exact date of purchase...the fact you flat out lie is damn ridiculous...bad business practices showing now...I will even include a picture .. my son just picked up the plate last week...F...U!!

Honestly review, I purchased a vehicle with my last.. from driving off the vehicle engine light came on also was shaking when came to a stop which wasn’t something I was concerned because I was told with the year of the vehicle it’s normal.. Within 30 days the vehicle started over heating badly, I pulled over to cool off the vehicle & it wouldn’t turn. I towed the vehicle to Marks mechanic who told me the engine burned out & the price was more than $1500 to fix. Mark was helpful in paying for the new engine but I didn’t have an vehicle to make it work to even pay for weekly payments, that I was constantly told, whether you have a vehicle or not you need to pay. So I gave the vehicle back lost out on more than $2500 & I'm very upset so I would NOT recommend especially if you was told “I’m gonna fix it & resale it”.
I was someone who read other reviews prior to dealing with this dealership, I can say don’t take that chance.

I bought three vehicles from tristate and mark I worked there and witnessed how honest he any his staff are . Unfortunately some of his customers are not honest at all and are the ones who write bad reviews. I can assure any one who has a problem there that it is a YOU problem. I will continue to do Buisness there. Thank you mark for all your help!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
This is the most unorganized establishment. Their policies are made up daily. They have no compassion for their customers. Very rude and aggressive. Not to mention the owners breath smells very unpleasant… i wouldn’t recommend buying a dog from here. Let alone a car!!!!

PLEASE! To save yourself the headache. STEER CLEAR FROM THESE CROOKS. MARK will harass you calling and texting you back to back! They are Unorganized and try to threaten you into bringing the car back to fix THEIR mistakes that they caught after already having a mutual agreement with you. After speaking with the police about my experience with this establishment they informed me that these people scam and they don’t advise anyone to do business with them. So.. work with them at your own risk??♀️

Bought my car in December. I will say mark worked with me. But I am having so many safety issues with this car. And tonight on my way home my breaks went out in 5PM traffic. Not to mention everything else wrong with the car. Very disappointed and now stuck once again on trying to figure out what to do.

I bought a car from tri state auto brokers last weekend, Mark and the rest of the staff weren’t standing over me when it came to test drive cars, and were really helpful/concise of my budget! I am so grateful for their help, and feel so excited about my new car!
