I hadn't been here in awhile since a bad experience with rude staff, and the fact that they don't have restrooms anymore, which makes it hard for some of us.First, the prices are through the roof! 3.00-10.00 for USED stuffed animals, 3.00 for ONE used towel and I didn't realize price was written ON the towel with sharpie until we got home. SOOOOO many of the nicer clothes were priced at near retail. We put back so many things after looking at the prices. We put back many more due to the sharpie on them. They has some 2-3.00 Easter stuffed animals I bought for my grandkids. NO, the sharpie DOES NOT come off the tags. It's like you want to penalize people who can't afford new items by marking them up in PERMANENT marker. The same next door in the baby shop. Baby blankets had sharpie on the seam tags and one lovey had it right ON the front of the blanket. One lovey (target brand) was 8.00! You vandalize your goods. Oh, and I bought a bag of toys for 9.00 and all the little guys had exploded batteries, transformers arms are broken off, lego guy is CHEWED up and horse has 3 legs. For 9.00 I expect intact toys! I'm glad I didn't have cash for the other toys and had to put them back. Package says "suggested donation" but no, that is the price, and cash only! 9.00 for DAMAGED toys! We will not be back.

Love shopping here! It’s very relaxing to take my time and find wonderful items.I usually frequent the book section, craft area, home goods. Staff is helpful and friendly. Store is not crowded with items, there is lots of space to push a cart. I donate items also as it is easy to drop off in the back of store.

I'm loving the expansion of the electronic store. Great prices, well thought out floor plan, and excellent customer service! Just good southern hospitality.

This thrift store was VERY WELL organized, their book were even seperate into genres and topics. The store and each item were very clean. Prices seemed very reasonable. Items were in really good condition too.

It's either hit or miss, but generally has a large selection of everything. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, housewares, furniture, etc. Very good prices and for a good cause. Also, check out their other store that sells DVD 's, records, CD's and other products, such as lamps, appliances, electrical equipment and even musical instruments. Recently , we purchased CD's and an electric Yamaha keyboard with stand for my daughter. It was very reasonably priced and in perfect condition!Hidden treasures can be found in both of these stores!

PROS: Constantly rotating, reasonably priced, furniture items - some ready-for-use and others for restoration. Great selection of children's bicycles out front. Books and glassware very reasonably priced. Lots of things ready to be upcycled to their second (plus) home.CONS 1: Half of the clothes need to be tossed (piled, faded, shrunk, etc.) by deft employees so the other half can be reasonably analyzed by customers. If something would not sell for two quarters at a yard sale...CON 2: The worst checkout experiences time and again. What is horrendously odd is that cashiers indiscriminately make "determinations" on whether a customer might be eligible for a particular discount. I have seen many GATS cashiers ask paying customers if they were seniors, and they were NOT. One lady left the store crying and I followed her out to comfort her. It was awful to see! There needs to be sensitivity training, by managers, and a sign at each register of what the discounts are (so people can speak up for themselves if they qualify).DEFCON 3: Though it was a few years ago, the store has just never been fun to shop in since we saw seniors, children, young adults, YELLED at and harassed over the store's militant mask mandates, with employees literally posted at both doors ready to pounce. These same customers are the ones who (did) donate items.

I'll start out by saying that you can find a lot of really neat items here. And sometimes you score a deal on said items ... but here lately, myself and a large part of the community feel the prices have been skyrocketing. There are items from the dollar store priced at 3 dollars and the name brand, worn (some waaay worn) clothing up front has new, retail sale pricing. The rugs are outrageously priced, the furniture is hit or miss ... mostly miss until it gets marked down from sitting due to being originally overpriced. What really chaps my hyde are the food, formula and toiletries in the back that have been dropped off and put out for resale when there's a food pantry right down the road that they could be redirected to for those in need. Not everything is about a dollar. This was actually inquired about months ago thru social media messaging and their response was 'that's a good question' ... with no resolve. I understand a lot goes into running a business, a considerable amount is donated to charity and prices have gone up across the board overall, but the blatant overcharging in this store and their other locations leaves a very bad taste. Many reviews speak of this same matter, so maybe its time the individuals running this operation listen to those in their own community and make adjustments. Just a thought.

I have shopped here since the first day it opened. I was there today and picked up a cloth bag (that goes on a walker) that was hanging on the back wall. I couldn't find a price so I asked a lady who has worked there for some time. She took the bag, came back and said it will be $5 and she marked it. It had some kind of straps in it as well and she left them. I go to check out and I showed the woman the price. She took the bag, went to the back to talk to the mgr. She came back and said you can't buy it, it would have to be repriced tomorrow and kept the bag. She said the other lady had no right to mark it. She said I could come back tomorrow, I live an hour away and just asked if it could be repriced today. She said definitely not, if you want it you will have to come back tomorrow. I understand rules but exceptions could be made once in a while. I was be penalized for something I had nothing to do with. I just needed a price. Such poor customer service!!

Great store to find everything from furniture to books. I go to the Guardian on a regular basis. Sometimes you really can find a charm among all the items in the store. Clothing for Men, Women and Children. They have a lot of seasonal items as well. Nicknacks, Jewelry and various rare finds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend that you pay them a visit. New items are brought out on the floor daily. I always leave with at least one item. Most the time several items. Great store.

Visited the Fuquay store to explore as we saw from the road, when we were in the area, that the bright neon OPEN sign was on. Looking forward to seeing this place as recent residents to the area, we were met with rude rejection, as summarized in many of the reviews here. After reading through, it may average a 5 Star Rating, but you learn that they have consistently rude customer service and high prices. Even the 5 star reviews complain about this store. The employee was an older skinny lady. She told us the store was closed when it wasn’t and repeated herself sternly with zero hospitality. We will choose every other thrift store from now on. There is a response from the owner a year ago that they will handle the rude closing comments by cashiers but it looks like they didn’t correct the behavior.

Guardian Angel Thrift is one of our personal favorites for getting clothes, I've got some pretty good clothes from here we've donated a lot. Very nice HUGE selection.

First time at this store and I’m liking the deal with the clothes buying 6 pieces and get 2 free so 8 total is awesome. Where I come from thrift stores are more expensive to shop at so coming here was a pleasant surprise. The 2 staff I spoke to were also kind. I def will be back.

I shop at both Guardian Angels in Fuquay and Apex. I can always find a book, CD, vase or obscure item I need. I also love a portion of profits go to Alzheimers. Great thrift store with tons of options.
