I had a great experience buying a car at A1 Classic Motors. They truly stand out for their honesty and integrity. From start to finish, they kept their word and made the entire process straightforward and hassle-free. No pressure, no gimmicks—just genuine service and great communication. They gave us space and let us test drive without any pressures. If you're looking for a dealership you can trust, I highly recommend them.

After looking at more than 10 vehicles at different dealerships and private sellers, I bought a Chrysler Town and Country here! My experience was excellent! Tarek was attentive and sincere from the beginning, showing me the good things and those logical things that needed attention in a high mileage vehicle. It is not common to find people like Tarek when buying a car, but that is no doubt one of the many reasons why I chose and would choose his dealership again! If you want to know if it is a serious dealership, my answer is ABSOLUTELY! Don't hesitate to stop by to check it out for yourself.

Overall experience at A1 motors was good I picked a Grand Cherokee he closed the shop and we went for a long ride he wanted to prove the performance and condition of the vehicle to me.That went well .When we got back to the shop he pointed out smaller issues with the Cherokee that I had maybe not noticed .That was no big deal but I appreciated the honesty and 3 weeks later driving the Cherokee everyday I am very satisfied I got a good deal

I recently stop by A 1 to look at a couple of vehicles and they had a pretty good selection of cars. All in good shape, affordable, and pretty much anything you’re looking for. Stop by and check them out for your next vehicle!!!

UPDATE -- Upon seeing Tareks response I've decided to seek legal counsel as he's posting untruths and this is absolutely defamation of character. I have receipts for all work and parts done, which has now exceeded the cost of the car. He never offered a refund for the car. He strung me along promising to help but not once did he contact the shop to get any details or insight although I provided these. As far as saying he spoke with my "friend", my aunt accompanied me. I've never lived with her and definitely don't owe her a dime. In addition, he never spoke with her, only left a voicemail upset because I posted a factual review.
I have receipts for everything done as well as screenshots of our conversation.
The only issue with the check was a typo in the writing which was corrected and initiated.
I've left no negative reviews as can be seen in my profile.
This man is as shady as they come. Again, RUN.
Update!!! Although Tarek promised to "help me personally" this is not happening. I got less than 1,000 miles on the 2011 Outback I bought from him before the transmission failed. This is AFTER I replaced two dry rotted rear tires, rear wheel bearings and changed the filthy oil. He will contact me about these issues and halfheartedly "offer" to help, but each time it comes down to it he then replies that he's "on his way to Florida".
Purchased a 2011 Subaru less than 10 days ago. Noticed a loud roaring noise on the way home that I hadn't noticed on the test drive. Had the car looked at and discovered that the rear wheel bearings were in horrible shape and the rear tires were worn unevenly as a result. Was quoted over $700 to repair them and advised not to drive anywhere but home as wheel bearings are an extreme safety hazard and can lock up the tire at high speeds. Tarek looked me straight in the eye, assured me it was an amazing car and there were no issues. I called him with the diagnosis. He did tell me to bring it to him but I live an hour away. Advised I didn't feel safe doing so. I told him id appreciate at least paying for the part. He told me he'd help me personally. I sent him my cash app and he never responded. Then told me he was in Florida for two weeks and would call me when he got back, but then said he wasn't going to help and that the issue must've happened after I bought the car . The wheel bearings had been bad, long enough to wear the tires unevenly. This man is a crook. Since discovered this same car has been listed on multiple sites for over a year, starting at a much higher price. When I asked him about this he said it was a different car . It wasn't...the vin is the same.
This man is a crook. RUN.
Edit... still having issues. Tarek did offer to have his mechanic look at it, but again, I live an hour away and this is my only vehicle. I'm contacting him tomorrow to see if he will help with 50 percent of the repair at my mechanic. Stay tuned.
So it appears the owner has replied... There was no wrong check issue. None.
The check cleared the next Monday.
As far as the consistency of issues, they began with the discovery of the rear wheel bearings and the leaking valve cover gasket. The next week we had to replace the two rear tires due to dry rot.
I drove this car less than 1,000 miles before the transmission went out.
I just spent 6 hours in the car with a friend driving to Charlotte and back to pick up a $1400 transmission. I have spent over $1000 already on the other repairs, am $500in on labor and owe $700 to be able to get my car out of the shop.
Not once has Tarek called the mechanics. And to think id trust his? No.
This "discount" has cost me so much money. Run. Just run.

I recently purchased a 2001 Ford f150 from A1 Classic Motors. I've been to a lot of dealers and I work on cars so I know what I'm getting. I was met by the owner who was very honest from the beginning. He went over all the cons of the truck and all the pros. He worked with me and gave me a price well below book value. It's a used vehicle you can't expect a new car in perfect condition. Take your time look over the vehicles ask questions. Any mechanic will tell you the worst they want to make money. Some fixes are simple just do research. Great experience for me at A1 Classic Motors. Will buy from again.

I bought a nice Ford Ranger here on Thursday. The price was pretty reasonable, although it does a have few issues, but the man offered to have the A/C fixed for about $200, which is much cheaper than doing it yourself or taking it to a mechanic. The truck looks great for how old it is and has good miles for a Ford Ranger. From what I could see, there were a lot of other good looking affordable vehicles there too. The man who runs the dealership is really nice and honest. He told us about the issues that he knew the truck had, right off the bat and without us having to ask. If you’re looking for a nice used vehicle, I would definitely recommend taking a look here. My only warning is that it’s in a location that you might accidentally drive past because it’s hard to notice, but it’s beside and behind CVS.

My 60 year old Mom really needed a car. She went to A1 on the fly and was convinced she was getting a deal.Within 2 days of driving off the lot, the check engine light came on. She didn't have the means to get back to the dealership for about 2 weeks. The owner "fixed the issue" and sent her on her way. 2 days later, the code returned. After taking the vehicle to a private mechanic, it was discovered there were several parts of the engine held together with zip ties. It's very clear the owner erased the code and sent her away. The car was deemed unsafe a month after purchase. Today my Mom returned and was told "why are you giving me this headache" and the owner proceeded to raise his voice to my 60 year old mother. We will be taking a partner with WRAL 5 On Your Side to tell our story. I really wish we read the reviews first. While we understand used cars will have problems this was clearly someone taking advantage of someone in need. The owner has offered no resolution.
