There's a lot to read and a good mix of displays to look at as well. You do need a visitor base pass to access. Looks like they're in the process of adding two new sections. Lots of gear and whatnot at the gift shop too.Keep an eye out for a QR code on one of the glass displays when you first go in before you make the first left hand turn (basically straight ahead once you start down the initial hall. It links to a bunch of really interesting downloadable oral history interviews done through the University of Montana. It's kinda easy to miss. (Someone should reprint it larger)

Fond memories of so many things in and around the museum: doing “Gabe” demonstrations at “Bronze Bruce” across the street for the leader of the Mujahadin escorted by retired general Mataxis (who’s son was my 3d Grp XO); several retirement ceremonies, promoting good troops, and “visiting” the fallen at night during late night Staff Duty, and many other back in the day when ODA 572 et al were in the WW II Barracks on Smoke Bomb Hill. So much history…I was -am- very proud to have been a small part of it and to have served with such fine men. Oh, and the museum folks are always great!

My husband and I were in Fayetteville for the day when we stumbled upon the museum. My husband is a retired Vietnam Veteran who served for 27 yrs. Two tours to Vietnam where he served his country. When we arrived he became very emotional. When we walk in what an incredible greeting. It is very hard for my husband to get around these days but the gentleman at the front desk made him feel so in lightened. My husband stood up straight and walked the entire museum. The front of the museum staff are diamonds. Thank you all so much for a great day.

There is no greater place to revisit Military History! The Unknown (Freedom From The Sky)By Whitfield, Patrick 20 April 2022. ©The finest of silk strapped to your back, the smell of fresh air as you descend...with your knees in the breeze. There is absolutely nothing so extraordinary than soaring through the opened sky with silver wings upon your chest.Within the rain that falls, I dance of those yesteryear's for never shall they go forgotten for never shall they rest.Airborne...All The Way!

Thank you, U.S. Army Special Forces, from an old Pineland Freedom Fighter. Every American should visit this museum. You will walk away with a greater appreciation for “Green Berets” and your freedom.

This is an essential stop while in Fayetteville and Fort Bragg. The home of the airborne and special operations, this is the center of the universe for military personnel and families. Tons of excellent information and outstanding exhibits offering so much history and detail about special warfare. Best job I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

Great Museum that follows the beginning of Army SF up to current day. Great artifacts and displays. Museum is on post so you need a pass to get on base.

Fascinating displays. Must take time to read their interesting stories about the displays. Well laid out so one could follow the progression of special forces and their involvement throughout the years.

Lovely to see our history. But it should be a much larger museum.
