Apparently morons and/or thieves run the deli. They do creative math in the deli over charging their customers. Two chicken tenders and an order of mac-n-cheese is instead rang up as a chicken tender snack meal plus a 99 cent increase to the price for the mac-n-cheese. This totals to 70 cents MORE than what should have been the total if rang up properly as simply two chicken tenders and a side of mac-n-cheese. After two inquiries about it, one with the manager and my explaining the overcharge, the answer was, "Well, that's the way we are told to do it." How's that for customer service? Rationalize overcharging customers without thought or consideration of what's right or a willingness to change the theft. After frequenting Drop Ins for over two decades, I for one won't be back. Too bad. 70 cents is a small amount however it is the principle of the matter. And, losing a customer over 70 cents seems rather ridiculous in todays competitive market.

Chicken BETTER than KFC, Best Bar-B-Que in the world. If you come at 12:00 p.m. you might as well get ready to wait in line, usually they'll be a bunch of factory and construction workers getting their chicken barbecue macaroni potato wedges or their flawless spaghetti. Most of the staff are great. ALL of the kitchen crew are fantastic. They also have great desserts. The restaurant is located within the convenience store it is usually crowded. The gas across the street is cheaper yet they still have a lot of people in there getting petroleum for the cars. I have the usual things of convenience stores including beer Pepsi Coca-Cola mountain dew etc. They have oatmeal chocolate cookies potato chips etc They have lottery tickets and slot machines and cigarettes. Drop in number one has existed since 1980 and is a favorite among many people. #cookies #pepsi #mountaindew #chicken #barbeque #taterwedges #lottery #beer #northcarolina #convenientstore

The store is smaller than most but has everything you need and the fried chicken is worth the drive through the city to get it. Chicken and potato wedges are my favorite snack.
