I purchased in December 2018 from Apple Tree. After the purchase I have dealt with nothing but hardship with the dealership/service department. I literally received a recall notification within 30 days of purchase. In February 2019 I take the car in for said recall & am given a loaner car, within 4 hours I get a call that the recall was completed PRIOR to my purchase of the car yet it had not been registered. This was followed by....the car is overdue for fluid changes and is unsafe to drive. I was told this would be an additional $500+. I was clear that #1 I did not give them the authority to seek out and/or do additional services that #2 I have a mechanic for those thing and that I was on the way to get the car. Upon arrival I was given trouble about the loaner. Then when in the car found that things were tampered with. In August 2023 another recall comes in....much more serious. I jumped thru hoops even with my skepticism to get scheduled. My commute to the dealership is close to an hour, I originally was advised the service itself would take 3-4 hours to determine repairs and as much for repairs. At this point I opted for a drop off appointment @ 8am. Do not let that fool you......it was NOT an appointment, it is an open window for "we will get to it when we can". After 5hours I called to follow up and found out the car had not even been in to a tech. At this point I was extremely upset that I had an appointment and was not priority. I am told that once the tech is back from lunch I will be next. Less than 1 hour after that I was called and informed the car was ready for pick up. LESS THAN 1 HOUR to inspect and do repairs, I could have scheduled on a day that I could have stayed with the car and not wasted gas back and forth the long commute. Conclusion......why is the service department open at 8am (I dropped off at 730am) if they can not take a car back that presumably has an 8am appointment until 130pm???? My answer......I was a non paying customer due to recall so let's put it on the back burner.

So I get a letter from Honda about a recall on my 2019 Honda Pilot about the backup camera and something with it not showing up the image that is actually there. Clearly a safety issue. As a matter of fact, the recall states it is a safety issue. I call my local dealership who I do my services with (Apple Tree) to schedule an appointment to repair this. It will be 8 months before they can fit this recall in, April 2024. I guess I will need to drive around in our Honda Pilot until they can fit us in there schedule for this recall? I don't know, but seems like a possible lawsuit is in the making if this is how they are treating there customers. Prefer to have payment for repairs over taking care of customers who actually buy Hondas from their dealerships. I have emailed corporate to find out if the suspected BSing this dealership is handing out is real.

The service department stole the wheel keys out of my glove compartment and when I complained they said maybe I misplaced them? I called Scott Benson who sold me the car he suggested I talk to the service manager. I went back and the service manager dug around a small bin and gave me ONE old used key that fit my car wheels. He said that the mechanics will use the customers when theirs wear out? Well they certainly helped themselves to my car parts and kept a brand new set and made me feel like I was stupid and it was not big deal. Called Scott Benson again and no response. I called the director of the service department and no response. Crooks.

This dealership is dishonest and will lie to you in order to take your money. I was quoted a price in writing, I verified this price, then on the day I was about to take delivery, Scott Benson confirmed this price again via text message. Then documents were switched last minute, which tacked on additional $3.5K by increasing the price by $1,495 & added a 3rd party warranty that I told them I didn't want. They were once a good dealership 30 years ago, when I bought my first Honda there, but that is not the case anymore. Honestly, it's heart breaking to be a life long Honda fan, and have this level of dishonest and fraud take place. I think about this every day, it's painful to be ripped off.Chris Lewis will scam you out of your money, he is where all the calls go so that you can't speak with someone above him. He is the ringleader of these gangsters. This dealership needs to be put out of business. Don't do business with them, but do report them and write reviews.

They were not transparent and straight forward with the final purchase price of my vehicle. Would not recommend doing business.

What a bunch of lying, no-good, greedy folks you have in your service department. Y'all get called out for obviously lying about calling to get approval for "extra service" so you can tact on an extra $500. When we confirm that you are lying and in fact did not get in contact with any family members to confirm the "extra (non-needed) service" your service manager or whoever looses his cool and kicks us outside and refuses to talk to us inside. Guess he didn't want boss man knowing about it. Too late now. I'm not the only one with this issue! Don't come here and if you have to, make sure you check and ask them about everything on the receipt. Watch them as they struggle to come up with explanation and backtrack. No I will not call your manager at my earliest convenience Mr Owner, if you care about your company you'll let me get in contact with you.

My husband and I were going to help our daughter purchase her new Honda. We were driving from out of state to Fletcher (close to our daughter). We contacted the dealership several days ahead of our arrival and told them what model Honda we were interested in. We exchanged emails prior to our trip. When my husband arrived, he was told they had none of the models available that we were interested in. It would have been nice to have been told that prior to our trip as it was over a 6 hour drive. Very disappointed in the lack of communication.

So a family member bought a vehicle from here. He traded his car all was good. He realized he would not be able to make the payments. Took it back 6 days later. Here is the kicker not only did they make him buy his car back they kept his $3000 down payment. What a disgrace to the community Apple Tree Preowned you should be ashamed on how you do people!

Had a very poor experience with Apple Tree Honda of Fletcher, NC. I went there for the first time with my Honda Ridgeline for a few minor repairs and service (change oil, rotate tires, check my slow leak in a tire, and cut a new key). My 10am appointment lasted 4 hours and 15 minutes. The service manager never even came to see me during that time to tell me why there was such a delay. I had to go to him (he was 30 feet away from the waiting room) When I checked out, they didn't tell me that I would need to replace the tire (I read it on the printout when I got home). They didn't rotate the tires. There was no sticker on the windshield showing when my next oil change should be done...so I went to a mechanic who said the oil hadn't been changed. The new key takes 1 - 1 1/2 hours to complete. So, over 4 hours of waiting to get a new key and for them to look at a tire with a slow leak. Oh. And on the print out there were a bunch of other suggested repairs for my truck -- that they never pointed out when I left. I had to read them on the print out when I got home. Some of the suggested repairs were pretty significant...and should have been mentioned if only to give Apple Tree more business. I was very disappointed. Has anyone else had trouble with Apple Tree Honda? Maybe it was a one-time thing? I do not recommend Apple Tree Honda.

@ Nikki S. - I feel your pain. The same thing happened to me. I bought a 2009 Honda Accord Sedan that LOOKED great, excellent shape, they fixed it up, sun roof, really sweet, ready to downsize and needing a dependable car to drive to Georgia, as I recently picked up a contract with a major commercial firm in Georgia examining titles (real-estate paralegal). Bought it , put $2,000 down, financed $12,000 and thought - Wow, I'm in a Honda. Only 30 days after the purchase of my new used car, the Cylinder-3 misfired due to a piston ring issue and now my Honda Accord is in the repair shop with gob-tons of damage (a total of $5,500) and no recourse except to suck it up and pay $5500 for a car that I just bought which should have been in merchantable condition. The piston ring issue is a known Honda defect and had I done more research I would never have bought that year but it should not have been sold to me in a condition where it broke down immediately. They say you get what you pay for; instead of fixing a problem by buying from a company I thought had a good reputation; instead of finding a solution by way of a good vehicle, i now have a bigger problem. I have to pay $5500 on top of the $14,000 I paid, for which I could have gotten a new car under warranty. Chris and the other salesman who sold it to me were very quick to jump on me for not purchasing the warranty but seriously, I did not expect to be sold a car that would IMMEDIATELY break. My mother has been in tears, I am losing money daily by not being able to get to courthouses - as that is my job, and the whole experience has been emotionally and financially devastating. Would never recommend and I am highly suspicious of their business practices - either that or they were so desperate for inventory in this climate that they sold me a used car with known defects hoping it would not fall apart and/or I would not complain. I have asked for some kind of remedy considering this is misfortune all the way around and they have not offered to cover one cent or give me a discount toward it. Super disappointed and would never recommend this dealership The remedy I was offered was to turn around and buy a new car from them, eat the $6,000 for the motor and engine work/piston hinge replacement and then have a $10,000 downpayment on a new car that I cannot afford. Not a viable option, and a super bad way to "upsell" a customer. PS-I am from Brevard NC (not sure why it says California)

I'm in town for a few work meetings. On the drive up from Georgia, the low tire pressure light came on and of course it's night out, I'm panicked, and worried I'm going to get a flat tire on a section of the road where there's no shoulder. I'm staying at a hotel near the airport, and on my way there I drive past the Honda dealership! I know it's closed, so I knew I had to come by today. After trying my hand at filling up at gas stations and being confused why the light wouldn't go off, I made sure I got here before five. I was greeted by Gabby, which took away some of my anxiety and pained look of being at a dealership looking foolish and all for not knowing how my car works. She brought over Alex, one of the advisors and he explained to me what the issue was, why it happened, what to expect moving forward, and also how to keep an eye out moving forward if the light comes on again. Finally, he showed me how to reset the calibration so the light goes off! Many thanks to both Gabby and Alex at this dealership for taking a late walk in. They were professional, kind, and super helpful. On a day when I was so exhausted, I got to address a pain point and get this addressed so I don't panic on my drive back to GA tomorrow. Support this dealership! I didn't buy my Honda here but they helped me as if I was a lifelong customer, that tells you a lot.

Typical used car dealership and salesman. No different than any other used car lot you see on the side of the road. They all have the same "story" as you test drive the cars. After 8 months of buying our used 2016 "certified" Honda Odyssey, it needs new brake pads and rotors and a new timing belt. That's almost 2500$ We have to spend in 8 months after paying a premium price of almost 28,000$. Brenda in the service department literally said out loud "let me see if they replaced the timing belt before you purchased it." Then came back to me with a whooping price of 1900$ and said your timing belt needs replacing." This was after I spent 5 hours there. It would seem that if you're selling cars at a premium cost, you would make sure the vehicle is in prime condition. Unfortunately, this is not the first van we have bought and had problems. They sold use a van with broken tail light in 2018 and then had a problem having it fixed. Shame on us for giving them a second chance. We will travel out of town next time we want to buy a Honda. Save your money and time and do not purchase an used car from them.

Run! False management tactics, in that they'll post an apology and/or "desire" to fix the problem, but then zero follow through. This is unfortunate given the distance of other Honda dealers. Still a problem that we wished was corrected.

Peter, Dwayne, and Mark are PRIME TIME EMPLOYEES OF APPLE TREE HONDA. I'm currently standing here 53 minutes after closing so I could get the car I need for my son and mines safety. This is our 3rd car from Honda, I don't think I'll ever go to a different place. I'm so happy to have found a great car place!

Upon further thinking and talking with friends who used this place, I decided to add a star. I did get a great quality car here as did my friends. My advice to others would simply be to avoid the extra add ons and seemingly pushy attitude of the staff (may be a lot of pressure to sell). They have a good selection of quality options
