After 4 years found my stuff in excellent shape and unit clean, it was an ac controlled unit. Jim was always communicative and professional. I didn't find any toilets when there after hours though....Would totally rent there again. Thanks!

Super easy to access, gate works great! I chose one of the air controlled units and it was very clean and during the summer the AC was running great so everything stayed cool. I like the easy pay through the website too. I recommend Flat Rock Mini Storage with five stars.

I rented a storage unit from here and the weekend we went to move our belongings into the storage unit my access code to get into the gate wasn't working. I called the number several times and left many messages. Nobody called me back. It left me in a real jam. Then on that Monday Jim messages me to tell me that there was a lightning strike and it wiped out all of the gate codes. However my friend who has a storage unit in there had visited her unit that weekend and her gate code worked just fine. Jim assured me he would give me a credit on my next bill. I never saw the credit. We kept the unit for 1 and a half months. I let Jim know that I would not be renting it for August on July 21st. We had moved everything out but my husband had left the lock on the unit. Jim contacted me on the 28th to let me know the lock was still on the unit. I apologized and told him I would go get it before the 31st. He said no ma'am I took your code out of the system, even though I was paid up till the 31st. He told me I could meet his brother or leave the keys on the gate to the lock. I really feel that this was unacceptable customer service and I will never rent from them again.

Just went to check on my unit after a couple of months. There is all this evidence of mice eating and chewing some kind of farm smelling grain all over a bed and in bags of stuffed animals. Called and talked to the man and he said there is nothing he can do about it. Got so mad about he was not willing to help with the issue that I hung up. He called and left a voicemail and said I am more than welcome to move out. They are not responsible for vermin in your unit. They don’t care and it’s in the fine print. People should know.
