I called about a specific recliner living room set and though I have to wait, Gaynell knew exactly what we were looking for and was extremely courteous. Being out of town and driving, I was unable to get my ducks in a row, so she was kind enough to give me a write up and promptly emailed it in a very timely fashion. Having not seen their place of business, nor met their complete staff yet, I was so pleased with our encounter...why wouldn't I want to do business with her?!Thank you for your assistance and looking forward to visiting and placing our order. You are a vanishing breed of a salesperson interested in selling and satisfying the customer. Kudos for a nice encounter of the best kind. By George!

My family has worked with Tarheel Furniture for years! Miss Gaynelle is the best and she has always made my family feel welcomed and cared about. My grandparents purchased us a piece of furniture for our new baby coming this year and she remembered the neighborhood my grandparents live in and what my grandpa retired as! We will definitely be back! ?

Been to every furniture store in Fayetteville this weekend. Finally ended up here at Tar Heel Furniture again.Should have started here. Very helpful, great selection, a little crowded in their showroom.Local, family owned, been in business for a long time.Susie works very diligently on finding what you want.

Bought my Flexsteel couch and chair from them some years back. Best furniture buying experience I have ever had. They were helpful without hovering. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. My couch suddenly stopped working and they were so helpful. Even willing to see if they could find a part to replace whatever might not be working. Turns out that one of the plugs had come unplugged, so I was able to fix it myself. I will definitely buy furniture from them in the future.

LC was awesome and totally went above and beyond! He found us the perfect couch set for a great price. After days of shopping at all the big furniture stores locally we were in and out of the store in under an hr and our couches were delivered that afternoon from their warehouse. Same day delivery and it wasn’t a floor model. They have homestretch and flex steel too, two brands that are impossible to find locally. We will be back for our future furniture needs.

What started out as a 5 star experience with Mrs. Susie Williams dropped to a 1 star experience with Gaynelle(however her name is spelled) with her horrible attitude. I am a repeat customer who drove all the way from Raleigh to purchase again. I first bought a bedroom set, sofa sleeper, custom ottoman, and custom living room set about 7 years ago. I came to purchase more furniture after a broken toilet seal flooded the entire 1st level. After purchasing a new bedroom set and a living room table, which was delivered with no problems, I began the process to reorder new custom cushions to match the living set originally purchased 7 years ago. From that first purchase I remember Gaynelle's condescending attitude towards me but I let it go. The new cushions were about $500 and I paid in full, upfront, before the order was even placed. After speaking with my claims adjuster I decided to cancel the order for the custom cushions. I called (6/9/22 at 12:29pm and she called back at 12:41pm) and spoke with Gaynelle and this is when everything went downhill fast. The level of attitude and disrespect was as if cancelling the order was afflicting her great distress or that I was taking money from the business. I paid for the cushions upfront in full so I was confused on what she was implying. My issue is not even having to keep the custom cushions. It's the audacity of being talked to with such rudeness. My fiancé and I had referred several people because of the quality of furniture and how lovely Mrs. Susie was. But Gaynelle's ELITE level of unprofessionalism unfortunately ruined the experience. I will go pick up my cushions and will NOT purchase anything else from there again. I will also tell my referrals not to purchase there to avoid any potential contact with Gaynelle's sour and ornery character.

Very poor experience at this location. Salesman spoke In a very condescending tone while explaining their furniture "sets". He seemed very irritated that we did not care for their offerings. We were unable to look around in peace without the badgering salesman spouting irrelevant rhetoric. Will not return.

A Little Gem!! Store away from shopping mega and traffic. Prices lower than big stores and free delivery. Can't beat that. Zach was a great salesperson and the delivery guys were so nice.Item delivered on exact day of purchase. My first choice furniture store from now on.
