Been a client since since 1993. Doctors and staff are knowledgeable and generally caring. Wait times are horrendous; wish they would schedule appt times to reduce wait times. I am extremely disappointed that they no longer respond to after hours emergencies for current clients. This was the main reason I became a client 32 years ago.

5 stars !! Dr Barkman and team are the absolute best ! Camille up at the desk is the absolute sweetest, kindest my understanding person . She goes out of her way to explain everything! If you want your pups, cats, and all fur babies to have the gold standard of care - Highland is the BEST!

Highland Animal Hospital is amazing! We have been a client for over 30 years. I have lived in different states over the past 10 years- and still bring my dogs back to get their teeth cleaned. Affordable prices and excellent care. We love our HAH family

This office is complicit in the ransoming of pets by Cumberland County Animal Control.
I was forced to agree to and pay for an elective operation on my dog under duress. My dog was withheld from me until I did so.
They also operated on her despite her being overdosed on medication and vaccinations a day prior. And no one would discuss this with me and assure me she was okay.
I was not contacted by phone even one time on the day of the surgery. I had to call at 11 AM to find out what's happening. I had to request for a second time for blood work to be done. I was not called with any updates on the bloodwork. I was not called with any updates after surgery. I was not called AT ALL. Two days of worrying and not seeing my dog and they couldn't call me one time. I didn't sleep at all last night. This whole ordeal felt so disgusting and violating.
But hey, they got their money!!

My family and I have been with HAH for 35+ years, when they were located over by the underpass. That in itself is telling all of you a lot.
I love the new building and location, and am curious if they will be making a second location sometime in the near future.

Recently Taco had a complicated neuter surgery because of migration from a undescended testicle. He was cut in three places. His surgery went very well. Within a few days he was better than ever.
I always recommend Highland to my friends and family. They are kind to my dogs. A previous dog of mine had cancer and eventually passed. I was very emotional when Missy was put to sleep. They were kind and understanding at Highland.
