I see Dr Wood and he is absolutely great! He’s gentle, kind, knowledgeable, and had no problem making referrals for me that a pcp would usually make! Ty

I’m writing to share my experience with Dr.Wood in the hope of helping others who may face similar situations. Following my recent surgery—a Laparoscopic Assisted Supracervical Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingectomy and Left Salpingo-Oophorectomy for endometriosis—I experienced severe, persistent pain on my right side where my remaining ovary is located, as well as in my lower right back. At my two-week post-surgery appointment, I reported this pain, which had been worsening. However, Dr. Wood, dismissed my concerns as I cried my eyes out with my mother consoling me. Dr. Wood told me he is stepping out so I can get myself together after gaslighting my situation and said to me he can’t and will not be providing no further investigation or guidance on managing my symptoms. This was at my two week check up after surgery in pain on my right side and lower right side of my back.
This experience was not my first with feeling unheard in medical settings. For years, I’ve dealt with chronic pain due to endometriosis, requiring multiple surgeries, only to find my symptoms repeatedly disregarded by medical professionals. Given my medical history and the intensity of my current symptoms, I expected a more thorough evaluation post-surgery and hoped for a doctor who would take my pain seriously.
Instead, I felt dismissed and left without any real answers or support. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I’d been met with this lack of compassion. Last year, after another surgery, a different doctor dismissed my ongoing pain, saying he wouldn’t “mess with someone else’s mess.” This dismissive treatment from multiple providers has left me feeling abandoned by the very people I’ve turned to for help. This was Dr. Strickland (same facility) so yes I was referred back to this office a whole year later in pain to see another provider within the facility that’s when I seen Dr. Wood this year recently! I also seen Dr. Booth this year but I think she forgot about me so that’s how I got connected with wood.
Unfortunately, being dismissed in this way has had a major impact on my daily life. Due to the constant pain, I’m struggling to keep up with work responsibilities, take care of my children, and manage my home. I expected a more thorough evaluation and supportive guidance post-surgery, given my medical history and the intensity of my symptoms.
As a patient, I believe it’s crucial for medical professionals to listen and respond with compassion, particularly in cases of chronic pain, where symptoms are not always visible in blood work or standard tests. Pain is real and debilitating, and patients deserve to feel validated and supported in their healthcare journey.
I’m sharing my experience here to raise awareness about the importance of patient-centered care and to encourage anyone facing similar situations to consider alternative providers who may be more attentive to their needs.
This is my review, I truly just want and need help.

I love Fayetteville Woman's Care! ? The staff are friendly and helpful. Even fellow patients were friendly (which you don't see often in these times). Thank you to Dr. Walker and Corrie for making me feel comfortable and listened to during my visit.

Nice place but just be careful they don’t do testing for things unless you really push for it, I had two urine tests my whole pregnancy (one I requested) and I was having excruciating pains in my upper abdomen making me feel as though I couldn’t breathe, they put it off as just pressure & heartburn etc from baby. Just went to the hospital recently A few weeks after having my baby for the same pain and had to get my gallbladder out. Other than that the staff is always great and super helpful and I couldn’t have asked for a better birth experience thanks to Mrs. Holly Douglas??

I love this entire office staff, and all the Dr’s! I have been going here since high school and delivered my first child with them April 2024. I cannot see myself going to any other OB/GYN! They are amazing! Dr. Rodriguez delivered my baby, with the assistance of Ms. Holly! They are so considerate and thorough.

I have been going to doctor Strickland 30 years plus. I've been seeing him since he was in his old building. He delivered my son, which be 38 this year and daughter which will be 29 this year. He is the best my opinion. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you and hats off to you and all your staff.?

The staff appears to be overwhelmed and overworked. The appointment was scheduled for 2:15 PM, but I was not seen until 3 PM. This delay has occurred multiple times. While in triage, the nurse left to attend to someone else and had to ask for my vitals again upon return. The lab staff were rude, and one of their computers, facing the lobby, lacked a privacy screen, exposing another patient's profile, which is a HIPAA violation. The overall care seemed rushed.

I had the worst experience coming here staff with unprofessional and rude. They never answer the phone. Then when you are able to talk to somebody, they have a attitude for you wanting to talk to them. It cost nothing to be compassionate and nice. Would not recommend!

I had a great experience. Dr. Booth done the surgery that I needed badly. She was very professional with great bedside manners. I would highly recommend her for all your female needs and care!!!!
However, the staff were slow when checking in and out and some of them weren't very professional.

Don’t even attempt to get an appointment here. When you call you will be greeted by the most unfriendly people who will do nothing but make it hard for you. If you are doing this whole pregnancy thing for the first time, they will NOT be understanding or compassionate in the slightest.

This is strictly EFMP/Military related! The Doctor and staff are completely unprepared and uninformed on this matter. Even when you try to explain your specific need, they fail on every level!
I needed to update my EFMP information prior to my PCS. With the paperwork in hand, my wife gave it to her specific doctor (I wasn't able to go to her appointment and my wife speaks broken English) to which he replied that my wife had to give it to the front staff. HE'S the doctor and it's HIS signature they need, NOT the front staff. They took the paperwork and told my wife they knew what to do. They didn't give her a day or time to return to pick it up. The next day, I spent all morning calling with no responses and only 1 call back. The call back sent me once again to no voicemail or anything. My wife and I ended up driving to the clinic to get answers. The person that attended to us stated that "this kind of paperwork normally takes 7-10 business days and to check back in the following week because they had to locate my wife's PCM. I've dealt with this before, but I had recently had an amazing experience with my daughter's PCM whom filled out the entire packet infront of us with no issues and a wonderful attitude and smile. Even after EFMP kicked it back, I was able to return and that same doctor updated the form right then and there without an appointment or anything...so, why does a gynecologist need 7-10 business days?
Well, I returned the week later they mentioned only to find that:
1) the doctor that told my wife to give it to the front staff was the same one that filled out the paperwork - so he could've taken the paperwork and filled it out in front of her on the first pass
2) it was post-dated the same day she had gone in the first time - no one called to let us know that the paperwork was done the same day and even when we returned the following day for an update, they said that nothing was completed...so they either lied that day and just didn't know, or they lied when I picked up the paperwork and had the doctor fill it out right then and there and back date it
3) they did not address the underlying issue which was stated on the EFMP forms I gave them and I specified it had to reflect the specified code- a specific code needs to be put in with the underlying/initial diagnosis
4) their response was since they weren't tracking that diagnosis they couldn't update the form...if they knew what they were doing, why didn't they catch this and call us instead of making us wait a week.
5) I explained the urgency and now we had to make another appointment at a later date in order for the same doctor to now address the stated issue, which I will be there to address all of this.
The unprofessionalism is mind-blowing from medical professionals. They wasted our time on very time sensitive forms, which I stated to them clearly only to be reassured by lies and incompetence. I'm very displeased and disappointed by this clinic.
