RUN FAR FAR AWAY !! You get what you pay for! They offer such low amounts because they give you such low customer service. You better pray to the good Lord above that you do not get into any accident and need to file a claim with this company! They are also owned by national general insurance company which is also a bozo insurance! You'd be better off going to State farm or Geico and pay their premium prices you will get the premium care you need when your assets are jeopardized by another driver. Do not trust this company

Direct auto is a total scam I have some Camden Gilliam from Tennessee charge me $319 for down payment tells me $100 of it is for roadside assistance and that if I cancel it within 30 days they will give me it back. Then they send documents to sign all are add ons of $100 . I call back can not reach Camden , leave multiple messages . Speak to another guy next day he tells me same thing that I don’t Abe to pay anymore for roadside and that it was included in down payment and that if I decided I didn’t want the roadside assistance they would refund me my money. So 12 days later I get a new car call to have vehicles changed and they tell me I have to pay another $200 down payment just to switch vehicles, which I’ve done numerous times with my other providers for free. I tell them I’m going to change providers that this is ridiculous.So I call this morning and tell them to cancel. The lady I speak to tells me she’s canceling the roadside and I’ll get that money back and that I need to get more insurance before canceling with them. So this is what I do. I call back this afternoon to find she never canceled the roadside assistance. The guy I talked to Robert Gheriault tells me I’ve been lied to by all of Therese people and I’m not getting any of my money back so I spent $319 on 15 days of insurance. They are only supposed to charge 10 percent of your coverage for cancellation but charged me 100 percent and still said they might bill me and I canceled within the first 30 days of my coverage.
