Stay as far away from this place as possible. You would have better odds of fixing your transmission by going to the junkyard across the street and grabbing one there. Actually, I believe that's exactly where Mr archer gets his "new" parts. Now I'm stuck with a broken truck and out about 2 grand because this guy refuses to do the job I paid him to do and makes a ton of excuses as to its my cooling system causing my transmission not to shift gears.

Mr. archer was very honest with me about the situation with my truck. He did a great job in a timely manner. My vehicle is running well and the transmission is running great. I highly Recommend Mr. archer for any transmission service.

If when looking for a mechanic to service, repair or exchange your transmission and you come across this shop please please run the other way. This business was located on Eastern Boulevard in Fayetteville NC in 2022 when I had my car towed to his shop. He charged me $2000.00 .I had to take it back less than a week later because it was knocking and shifting hard into gear. He made it bearable for a few months. When I tried to contact again his shop was gone and he wouldn't answer his phone. I finally got in touch with him back in May of 2023 and reminded him he gave me a3 year warranty. He then said give him a month or two as he was trying to set up shop in Hope Mills. He quit answering my calls so I went to his house/shop he gave me this sad story where he blamed the city of Fayetteville, the United States of America, and China. I told him that the entities he mentioned did not work on my car. He then said there was nothing he could do. He's nothing but a con man. Please STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!

All I can say is WOW!! Mr Archer was very fast and friendly. He didn’t waste anytime with getting my 09 Silverado 4x4 back on the rd. The job was completed in 2.5 days and he recommended I fix another issue while the transmission was out. No one that I called or that was recommended came close to his price and the repair came with a 3 year warranty.

I had my transmission rebuilt at Archers and it runs great. I went back to Archers months later to have some knocking sounds from the suspension checked out. It was a bad CVT and Shawn and his crew went the extra mile to repair my vehicle same day since I was bringing it in from Charlotte about 2.5 hours away. I drove from Charlotte to Fayetteville for the repair; that’s how much trust I have in Shawn as an honest mechanic that stands by his work. I don’t leave many business reviews, but wanted to share my positive experience doing business with this Marine veteran and his staff—great work, fair prices, and honest treatment.Services: Transmission

As a small business owner that was just starting out a couple years ago... I was three months in and barely getting by and the transmission to my work van went out completely. They towed my van to the shop and had me back on the road in 24 hours working all through the night into the a.m. hours. Since then I’ve put 50,000 miles on that van in 21 months. I cannot say enough about this Marine who helped his fellow soldier, And even took a delayed payment. This man knows his trade and is one of the only shops in town who still rebuilds transmissions. Thank youService: Transmission

Transmission took a dump on my way home from work. Called Archer Transmission shop (it was close to closing time) and was assured that they would stay open till I got the truck towed to their shop. Arrived the next day and was invited to the back of the shop to see the progress of the trans being removed what was wrong with the trans and other information on the truck. At the time that the trans was out I was also able to replace my rear main seal that I had noticed was leaking in the past. All I can say is that I’m glad there are still small shops like this that really care about the customer. I will Definitely be recommending this shop to other people in need of services in the future

I took my 2004 Ford Explorer to rebuild my transmission, I got quoted 1800.00. No one wants to spend thousands of dollars on their vehicle, however the shop did great work and I have not had any issues in years. I will be returning for them to check out my transfer case. They are all that one would want in transmission services. They are trustworthy and I have been in fayetteville going on 23 years and I have not found another like them.
