We just moved to the area and I brought all three of our pets in for an intake appointment. A few days before the appointment one of our dogs began to show signs of being ill. The team at Ambassador Animal Hospital understood that while we had come for an intake appointment as new patients, our little one that has taken ill takes precedence over everything else. They have shown great care thus far.

We have been taking our pets to Ambassador Animal Hospital for years. We have always had great care and customer service--even when we needed to be seen without an appointment.

Went to have my Flossy (13yrs old) put down and they were so great and understanding. This was a very emotional time for me and my family and they made the experience easier. The staff is very kind and I would suggest them anytime.

This is the best place around. The staff are all very nice and love your pets as their own. The vets are the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. They saved my dog when everything was against him, they never gave up the faith. They love your animal as much as you, they never forget you or your pet, everyone is family to them.

If you are looking for a Vet in North Fayetteville Ambassador Animal Hospital is a great place to go. Its easy to get an appointment and their prices are reasonable. They do a great job taking care of my baby boy. When he got sick they facilitated the referrals to specialists at NC State and Texas A&M and stayed involved the entire time. They have a kind and caring staff and Doctor Don is a great vet. My dog loves them and that means the world to me! Totally recommend.

Update: They responded to our concerns by telling us to find a new clinic(I’ll attach the photo). I really hope anyone who reads this considers finding somewhere else so you don’t have to go through what we went through. There was never “conflict with clients”. They were just incredibly unprofessional and rude. My family has had multiple animals come to Ambassador Animal Hospital in the at least past 20 years. We’ve brought all different breeds of cats and dogs. We’ve spent beginning days with our many pets at Ambassador Hospital and faithfully stayed with them even on our pets final days. They were absolutely wonderful. We loved them so much. I would’ve never believed that by the end of this year, every single one of my animals current and future will be going to a different vet.On Sunday our kitten presented with large sores on her face and ears.Monday morning I immediately called to ask if we can bring her in.The very rude lady on the phone told me that it won’t get worse and we can just wait until her appointment on Thur.BIG MISTAKE.It was ring worm.It quickly covered her entire face and ears. She was practically bald and I can only imagine how awful it must have felt. When we brought her for her Thursday appointment the entire office staff, including Dr. Kettlekamp, were incredibly sad and concerned as to why someone would have told us it could wait.It could not!It was beyond a simple recovery stage. It will be a long process for her.All because we were told that she can wait until Thursday. You would think this would be the end of this. I wish it was. Yesterday, Dr.Don made it clear to us that that if any of the other animals in our home begin to present ringworm that we need to have them treated right away.So that we don’t have another situation like the one prior.Today, at around 4:30pm we noticed ringworm on our puppy. We immediately called and the phone was answered by the same exact woman that told us to wait the first time. And guess what she did this time? Told us to wait. After I explained to her what the doctor told us to do she put my wife on hold as she quickly jumped into her car to get there before they close. As soon as we pulled into their parking lot she came back onto the phone in her always condescending tone that she cannot prescribe medication without a doctor present.Okay, fine, we get it. But this is all because of her awful “medical advice” she gave to us days ago that it has now spread to my dog.She was so incredibly rude.I told my wife to just go in and request our dogs records so we can find a vet that treats their clients and animals respectfully and civilly. As my wife walked to the door to get the records they literally locked her out. I called into the office to ask who the woman on the phone was because her awful customer service and her uneducated advice needs to be reported. As I waited for someone to answer it was an unfamiliar voice.I asked who it was. She said her name was Noni. I asked multiple times if she would please tell me who the lady was that had been incredibly awful to us during this whole experience.Noni(if that’s her name) proceeded to tell me she “felt threatened” and “didn’t feel safe giving me coworkers name”.I Never thought a staff member at Ambassador Animal Hospital would try to gaslight me and paint the picture of me as being the bad guy. When we are simply concerned pet owners that would like to let it be known that they have receptionist/vet techs answering the phone and making it their duty to give medical advice. And as soon as it was brought to her attention she was immediately defensive to the point that she didn’t want to face her mistakes and instead convinced her coworker we were threatening her. My gosh! If any of the senior staff sees this, which I hope they do, it was Noni who refused to give me the name of the only other woman that was on shift with her. 4:30 pm Aug. 16.They locked the doors early. They belittled our concerns. They treated us like we were burdens on their Fri evening. We just wanted to have our dog taken care of.

My family has used Ambassador for over 20 years. They’re incredibly caring, while being efficient and thorough. Anytime I’ve been worried about the pups, they’ve been able to see them quickly.
My old dog had diabetes and they were amazing in helping me take care of him. They were incredibly compassionate when it was time to let him go. When I got a new puppy, I was worried that going back to the same vet would be too sad for me. I took the puppy to a different vet that is commonly recommended in Fayetteville. I ended up coming back to Ambassador. While the other vet was adequate, they didn’t seem to be as organized or responsive as Ambassador.
Thanks for being an integral part of our family. :)

The staff members are very nice, but Dr. Cawthorn is completely inept. She prescribed the wrong antibiotic for a particular condition and didn't catch in her exam that my rescue dog Papa was missing his front teeth. Also, they refuse to work with any online pharmacy besides the one from which she obviously earns commissions.

Amazing vet! They were very awesome when it came to our dog radar. He’s very nervous about going to the vet. They were very compassionate and took their time with him. Took their time with us and discussed all our concerns and answered all our questions. Best vet experience we’ve had!
