Down payment for an appointment in advance. Called to cancel my appointment and get my deposit back, said she'd cancel it but didn't know if I was allowed my deposit back and to call tomorrow. Idk that's kinda BS to me.

Wanted to say what an awesome vet hospital this is. My baby was having muscle spasms and acting weird. Called my regular vet and they wouldn’t see her. Tried several other local vets with no luck, but Ambassador Dr Cawthorne told me to bring my baby in. She was great with my girl and very thorough is exposing what my baby needs to get back yo normal. I’m so thankful for the care my girl received here today. Not only was the Dr amazing but the whole staff was polite, helpful and made me feel at ease bringing my girl to a vet she had never seen until today. Thank you Dr. Cawthorne and Caitlin for taking care of my girl today.

Not impressed with them at all. This is my elderly dad's vet. I have to keep taking his dog back here for the same thing every month. Would change if I could

We are new to the area and we're excited to find a vet close to our home who boards animals and is relatively affordable. We have fortunately been blessed with healthy animals and began taking our animals to Ambassador Animal Hospital for their routine visits and for boarding. On a recent walk we noticed our Rottweiler bend his paw awkwardly when he leaned forward to smell the ground. We mentioned it to the vet who stated that at this point it was nothing to be concerned about. We boarded our animals shortly thereafter and received a call the night before picking them up indicating that there was an incident with our Rottweiler. When we picked him up, the tech had a sling under the hind legs of our dog carrying him out. They stated that he had messed in his crate and left it in disarray and he had been panting and foaming at the mouth. They stated they believed he had suffered a seizure and that the belief was supported due to our concerns that he had a neurological disorder because we had previously asked about the way he had bent his paw. As we assisted our dog to the car across the smooth, untextured floor, he did slip and had difficulty getting back up due to his inability to gain traction. I expressed concerns over the diagnosis because our Rottweiler does pant when he becomes excited and will get a sticky foam around his mouth. I also believe that if he had messed in his crate and slipped it would easily explain his leg injury he had received while under their care and explain why the crate was in disarray. The employees dismissed this logic. Though I understand they are trying to protect themselves from liability, their unsupported medical diagnosis is troubling to a pet owner. Upon monitoring our Rottweiler we have noticed no additional reasons for concern. Again we boarded our animals to be told that we had to wait for a vet before they would release our animals. We waited, despite the time being unreasonable considering we were simply there to retrieve our animals, until we were eventually into the back and had to wait further. The vet eventually entered and stated they believe that our Rottweiler has a neurological disorder and recommend we have him tested. We asked about how to go about it and the vet stated to google it as that is what she had just done before entering the room. I found the response a bit off putting, though she was nice enough to leave the room and come back with the web address to submit for the testing. When asked why she believes there to be a neurological disorder, she responded that it is based on our question regarding the dog's paw position, the seizure the dog had in his crate and the observation of their trained staff. I again questioned whether he had a seizure as no additional symptoms were ever noted and asked what symptoms the vet employees noted to support the claim. The vet responded with a list of neurological disorders common to Rottweilers and said that the staff is trained to know what they are looking for and walked out. Four days later we received a letter from the vet stating that due to our dissatisfaction they will no longer accept our animals at their clinic. We contacted the hospital and were informed that it is a liability issue for them to continue providing care for our animals because I question whether our Rottweiler had a seizure rather than slipped. They are friendly, but they do not take well to contradictory opinions that are supported with facts rather than blindly accepting their opinion based solely on a questions brought up by the pet owner. Do not question them and you will be welcomed.
