We had the grave misfortune of having Allen's Moving Services come and destroy nearly half of our belongings as they packed things up for a military move. Every picture frame we own is either chipped, cracked, or completely broken; It's the same for most of our dishes, coffee cups, and bowls. In addition to breaking our belongings, they destroyed the molding and walls in our home. They put cardboard down on the stairs and were sliding our belongings down in boxes, which were hitting our walls and damaging them. They destroyed the molding on many of our doors, as well. We still own this home, which we now rent to tenants, and it cost us a tremendous amount of money to hire people to come in and fix the damage they did. When we saw the boxes the woman had packed for our kitchen, we called the company and asked them to come back out and repack - the boxes were not flush with each other, and they were not flat on top. That explains why all of our stuff is broken, obviously. They mislabeled nearly every box, too - a box containing expensive glass decor is labeled "Snacks," a box containing collectible sports memorabilia is labeled and misspelled as "Hampster Supplies," and a box containing more decor is labeled "Paper Towels." They packed very costly paintings WITH our flat-screen television set and bent its frame (as well as destroyed the paintings, which they placed face-to-face with nothing between them), broke the base for another television set, and tore the fabric on a brand-new bed set (the box spring and mattress) that I bought less than a month before. They broke the back off our dresser, did something to a shelf that makes it now sway from side to side, and somehow broke something in our couch that now causes the side to bow out. These movers could not have been more careless with our belongings. They destroyed keepsakes, packed random odds and ends (rocks from a fish tank wrapped in paper, nails and bolts to who knows what wrapped in paper, open boxes of pasta poured into dry goods boxes), and smashed up some very expensive items. If you are considering this moving company, STOP. Hire a toddler, the neighbor's dog, and the worst person you know in the entire world to do it for you - they will do a FAR better job than this garbage moving company will do. This company will destroy your home and all the things that mean anything to you.
