HORRIBLE! Worst post office I have ever visited.

This place is a joke. We pay for monthly P.O. Box service. When we order something that can’t be delivered to a P.O. Box, the lady at the desk writes a note saying what’s wrong with a mailbox? Hello! I pay for a mailbox at the post office! The head lady is rude, not helpful, and hopefully she goes into retirement soon. Tired of people not wanting to do their jobs! She’s miserable!

This post office stinks. They will put my mail into the wrong mailbox, my mail will be bent and even TORN. Yesterday (6/26/22) the mail lady put something in mail box and then went to to turn around and she was going too fast and got stuck in my gravel and tried to press on the gas and her wheels and gravel went spinning everywhere and she destroyed my gravel. I almost got hit by one mailman cause he thought it was okay to go 80+mph and not use turn signals on Charlotte Hwy.

Consistently misdelivering our mail to other houses. These residents do not return our mail to USPS as a misdelivery. So our packages are just gone forever and we have no idea where they went. Some companies, mostly small businesses which send the vast majority of our packages, won’t send out new packages because this is 100% USPS’s fault. That means our money goes down the drain. It’s unacceptable at the current frequency. They delivered 8 packages of our mail to the wrong house in one day. This has been a consistent reoccurring issue since we moved to Fairview. And it just keeps happening. We also receive misdeliveries regularly, in particular for one address that is a 5 minute drive away. It’s to the point where we communicate directly with this resident ourselves and they come grab the misdelivery from our house directly rather than deal with USPS and their potential to loose their package altogether. It’s sad when you’d rather text a stranger to come get their mail from your house than trust your mail person to get the misdelivery to the right house.
Whoever does our route is seriously incompetent. I’m intimately familiar with USPS and what a well running USPS office and area looks like and Fairview USPS is soooooooo far from that it’s not even funny. I don’t think whoever has our route should have a route to begin with, maybe another role would better suit their strengths. They do not seem capable of the job.
I have to reach out to a company yet again to ask them to send my order out again since Fairview USPS misdelivered our package to the wrong house for the millionth time. The incompetency is getting really old. People want to get rid of USPS and I can’t blame them after witnessing this behavior. USPS has 0% accountability. And the Fairview department just keeps dropping the ball, over and over again. We’ve only lived in Fairview for 6 months and I already loathe Fairview USPS due to their epic incompetency.

This Post Office employs some hard working people. We love our delivery person Denise, she is simply the best. When we do go to the physical office Debbie is always patient with us and lets my nephew tell her corny jokes. Sure things can happen with the mail and mistakes can be made, but most of the folks here are always helpful and kind.

Requested help with routing UPS and FedEx packages through a post office box or some other way to have these packages held for delivery if we are out of town...UPS and FedEx will not deliver down our long driveway. First gentleman indicated they could not accommodate because the USPS would receive no payment for the service, which I understand. The head of the office, when asked if there was something the post office could do to solve the problem, said we shouldn't have built the house where we built it. Completely non-helpful...

Friendly, efficient staff. They work with limited resources and do a great job!

Delivered mail to wrong address. Was told they tried to get it back by leaving a letter but the people have not responded and weren't home during the day. When questioned further about USPS getting the package back and their accountability the postmaster Melody replied "whatever", asked if I was from Amazon, and when I told her no she said to call the company and ask for a refund.

I do a fair amount of online selling and ordering and I have never have had any issues with them. They have also never been anything but nice to me at the desk.

Below is the address to file a complaint at the Washington DC Main Office in order to get better service out here.

Office of the Consumer Advocate

I wish Amazon would quit using USPS and go with a reliable carrier like UPS. They got my pkg at 9:30 am and then put down incorrect address# at 9:30 am and do not even try to deliver it or hold it for me to pick up. And they are getting paid by our tax dollars.

Countless issues, no accountability. Deliveries to wrong addresses, lost packages. I have Amazon prime with guarantee delivery, but they cannot sort and keep up, excuses always. They say they have a certain time to sort but yet the hours of operation are closed by that point. Have had packages stuffed in mailbox where I couldnt get it out , mind you it's a lock box which mean they destroyed the lock and door frame. Ask not to deliver packages bc they aren't capable of doing their job. They cant even do that. Still have issues. Pathetic.
