As gas is getting more expensive, I'm looking to see what opportunities there are to save some money. I won't go way out of my way to save a dollar but I'll go a mile or three. As my car only has a 13 gallon tank, saving 20 cents a gallon isn't even $3. How much am I going to spend driving that far? But this Murphy was on the way back from my other detour in Elkin and it was convenient and cheaper. The gas pump area was clean with no trash. The squeegee worked just fine and so did the receipt printer. I had no need to go inside today. [Review 15626 overall - 3075 in North Carolina - 1130 of 2021.]

I have visited this gas station in Elkin NC several times and they generally are the least costly of all the local stations. The facility has been clean and orderly on each visit. The location is convenient and has plenty of pumps and options. The convenience store is priced competitively with others locally. And this location is typical of the Murphy stations I have visited in 3 states.

Disappointed have to stand at register when she finishes doing her texting to her friends or her social media instead of doing her job don't seem quite logical very disrespectful

They have a great quality fuel and very helpful staff. The price is very competitive for the area. This is my new fill up spot. I had a small issue with one of the pumps but thankfully the younger gentleman last name was Simmons. He went well beyond his job description to assist me and get me back on my way. he was very polite and respectful great job!
