We’ve had good experiences with Dr Brinegar and Dr Garing. Very thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable. The office is clean and comfortable, prices reasonable; I would definitely recommend them to friends or family.
The parking lot is sloped, tight for larger vehicles and it can be hard to turn around or get into some of the spaces. The front desk staff are professional although not necessarily friendly; It’s not uncommon to stand unacknowledged waiting at the desk for 10 minutes or more when one person is in front of you or no one is but generally they are knowledgeable, easy to get on the phone and are willing to find the answer to any questions you may have.
Prices are reasonable compared to other vet offices we have used in larger areas.

Unbelievable service. Had an emergency on my brothers wedding day and Dr Ackerman was exceptionally helpful and nice to both make sure the pup was ok and to get us to the wedding. Thank you Animal Ark of Elkin!

Things I love:
- fair prices
- it’s easy to get an appointment
-office is beautifully decorated
-smells clean.
- the workers seem genuinely happy to be there.
- they care about the fur babies. Even when the fur babies act out.

So far, so good . I have 3 dogs that I take there and have had no issues, but the parking is terrible when you have a truck . I've been going here for a year

Friendly, courteous and professional atmosphere. Dr Brinegar and those assisting him diagnosed and cared for a serious emergency with our 7 year old cat. And, since we had to leave town on a scheduled trip the same afternoon, we were able to leave her over the weekend, during which we received excellent care. And Dr Brinegar was kind enough to call us the next day with a health update on our cat. This was our first visit to The Ark, but won’t be our last! We were very pleased with the service we received on very short notice!

This place doesn't deserve a almost 5 start rating I don't trust this place my son brought my dog up there about 6 years ago and the doctor told him that she has a fatty cyst and I told him to take her somewheres else for a 2nd opinion and it turned out to be breast cancer I highly don't recommend take your fur babies at your own risk

My dog was passing blood and throwing up on a Friday afternoon. I called the vet he normally sees however they would not see him and told me that I could come on Monday. The person on the phone with me had absolutely no compassion or concern for my sick baby boy. I called the Animal Ark to see if they could see him even though they were closing in less than an hour. They were so nice and compassionate, told me to come on and they would be happy to see my dog. Thank God to Dr. Brinegar and his team for making my baby boy feel better and on the road to recovery. Forever grateful, and Coupe has a new vet!
