I purchased a hat on the company website and received the wrong size, called the company and advised - ask how to send the hat back and was told to keep the incorrect hat and they would send me the correct hat - never received the correct hat , so I contacted the company again - and was told that it would be arriving Monday 02/07 and the hat did not arrive , I said ok maybe it will come 02/08 and it still did not show - as of 02/09 the hat still has not arrived so I contacted the company - and this was the reply I got as well as mine at the end- We shipped the first hat wrong size our bad. You called and we sent out the correct hat the EXACT SAME DAY. We even told you to keep the other hat for the trouble. Attached is the shipping information. For some reason as you can see the post office sent your package up to Illinois that’s USPS FAULT not ours. You call over and over about an 8 dollar hat. So if you don’t want to come back don’t. We ha be tremendous customer service and proud of it. And I guarantee you none of the bands we work with would ever consider not working with us. So here is the tracking info and you can take it up with the post office Wow, a simple explanation would have been sufficient. Such as “We’re sorry, here’s what went wrong”, along with the tracking information. I would have gladly apologized for anything I said in my email that was offensive to your company. You’re correct, it is only an $8.00 hat, but when you order something, regardless of the cost, you expect to receive it. I saw the hat on your website, as I visit it frequently. I have a King Tyrone hat and thought this was cool also, being that it was another Jim Quick item. I recognize and appreciate that the correct size was re-shipped. I never asked to keep the incorrect size and even asked an associate how to return it. Furthermore, I am a professional in my career and sent a professional email to your company. I didn’t say anything in my email that any other paying customer would not have said. Your text in response to my email was very unprofessional. This WILL be the last order I place with your company. MY EMAIL, YOUR UNPROFESSIONAL RESPONSE, AND THIS TEXT ALONG WITH ANY OTHER CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE POSTED ONLINE FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS TO SEE. Regardless of the company’s tremendous customer service, YOU are a reflection of Preppy Pirate Outfitters and YOU and YOUR unprofessionalism are the reason I won’t return as a customer.

If you place an order from Preppy Pirate, make sure you spend plenty of money. That's all this company cares about. I placed an order for a hat that was $8.00. The hat was marked down from around $24.00. First, I got the wrong size. I gave them 2 stars, because they reshipped the correct size. I've waited for over a week for an item to ship from a company that is approximately one hour from me. Like any other paying customer, I've made some calls to the company to inquire about my order. Lastly, I sent an email to the company. My email was professional.This must have struck a nerve with the owner. His attitude was terrible. He told me I call over and over again for just an $8.00 hat. Regardless of the cost, it was an item that I paid for. He sent me a very unprofessional email and text, nothing like I'd expect from a business owner. He basically told me it wasn't his problem anymore and to take it up with the post office. He could've gave me a simple explanation and told me there was an issue with the post office. Instead, he made me feel as though my order was nothing, because it was only an $8.00 hat. The owner of this company is a guy named Chris Nelson. I won't say gentlemen, because his actions and attitude do not portray that of a gentleman.

The staff there is great, they have clothing and accessories. Alot of the products are Carolina Beach Music themed. The line of clothing is growing weekly.
