I recently (early February) purchased a used automatic transmission from this salvage yard. I purchased it for a customer of mine that needed a replacement transmission in their vehicle. I own a small independent auto repair shop and have been doing this a very long time. This is not my first experience with Wagners but I will say it will be my last. I will say this much. In years past I never had any issues with them. However policies and customer service has clearly changed over there. I installed the transmission and the unit it did not make it very long. My customer has the vehicle towed back to me and I diagnose and confirm the transmission has indeed failed. When I email my sales individual who i had already dealt with, the response I get is that they do not have one on hand, they can get me one, but it will cost an extra $250 over my original purchase price because this one is lower mileage. Mind you, I already had invested $150 on top of the original purchase price, because after installing the transmission (the first one I got) I removed the pan to replace the filter/fluid only to find that the transmission pan was so damaged from underneath it literally destroyed the shift solenoids and internal transmission harness. Obviously I had to replace the solenoids, harness and pan to take care of my customer. It is certainly not my customers fault this happened. The job had to get done. I took pictures of everything beginning to end. I tried to get reimbursed for the $150 I personally invested in this unit and denied it because I had already addressed the issue prior to notifying them. Bummer, but I sucked it up for my customers sake. Now this unit is trash and after some back and forth I finally agree to pay the EXTRA $250 to get a replacement unit (again out of my pocket to take care of my customer, I'm now out an extra $400 over what the original price of the transmission was!) It's been over a week and I still don't have the replacement unit and have not had an email or any communication in over 2 days. Meanwhile my customers vehicle is in my shop and I can't take care of them they way they need to be. This whole experience has left me absolutely disgusted with this establishment and I will surely never return. I'm well within the 90 stated warranty period and have followed all their guidelines and then some. As a small business owner myself this I can say, it's shameful crooked behavior.

Upon arrival I stood in front of a worker behind the desk.... there was no one in front of us....but the elderly woman with glasses on didn't look up to acknowledge us, but proceeded to speak to a woman completely behind and to the left of us, saying are you ready and then the woman stpped in front of us. Well as a 57 year young woman, I totally remembered feeling (WOW!!! Customer Service is Really going to Hell in a hand basket)......I mean this woman didn't even Freaking Acknowledge us, saying absolutely nothing!!!! Now had she looked up and said, sorry I was helping this young lady and will be with you in a moment, that would've made all the difference in this visit.... to top it off they didn't even have the battery for my car in which I was told to bring mine in for 40$Exchange. I can't help feeling like this woman was the one who took that call, as it was filled with no customer service as well. Will second think this location of car graveyard in the future..... the gentleman that helped was, apologetic and courteous however.

Don't waste your time. Looked my part up online, showed in stock. Called ahead of time to confirm and have it pulled. After the hour long drive to get there. part had not been pulled and no one knew anything about it. Then one of the ladies called to have the part pulled had me wait another hour. She then handed me a sheet saying it was ready and I needed to go with this gentleman to verify it. After looking for it with him for 15 Minutes. Part wasn't anywhere on the shelf to verify and she tells me that the puller says it's not in the car they don't have it. Then smiles and says I hope you didn't drive far. Really. So if your shopping for parts don't waste your time. And if you're going to use walkie-talkies to communicate with pullers and the front counter how about call when your looking at the car and the freaking parts not there instead of wasting people's time. And how about verifying you have the part when someone calls and take it off the website if you don't actually have it.

I'm not really the review type, but when I have an experience as bad as I had at this place, I've got to warn people. So I drove 2 hours from Fayetteville after I called them to confirm the presence of a part, a fender. This is a difficult to find item so I was pretty happy about it, and she assured me they had it. Anyway, I get there and ordered the fender to be pulled. I waited for almost an hour for the washed up guy with the cheesy stud earring to tell me that the part is bad. Not only that, but he had a smile on his face as he told me that info like it was entertaining to him. It took everything within me to contain myself, also, I had my young son with me so I couldn't do that. It took me 3.5 hours to get home because of raleigh traffic. Wouldnt have been that bad, had I had the part I drove there for. So $50 in gas and 6 hours of completely wasted time. The ladies there were sweet and brought my son a bottle of water because their dispenser was out.

Have been trying to contact someone at this business for almost 2 weeks about a motor I purchased and is not as described. Looking for a solution but given .no response I'm feeling I'm being ignored. Motor said it had 47,000 miles and no issues which is not the case. Immediate faults when starting. I am just looking for a solution to my problem and just would like some help getting the motor back to where it was advertised

They have a good selection of parts and great staff. You can search the website for parts you're looking for. Some stuff is already removed from the cars and sitting in their warehouse, ready to go. Everything else, they'll pull for you. They won't start pulling it until you get there, though, presumably to make sure they're not pulling parts for someone who's going to flake.I highly recommend it. I got my transmission, rear axle, and driveshaft from them, have had no problems with them, and saved maybe $2-3k by now

Parts are a little pricey there but you don't have to take them off yourself, they'll pull it for you.

Great place to check out if you’re looking for parts. If they don’t have it, they can usually find or get it for you!

Website has a pic of their sign and that's the only way to figure out what their hours are. Sign says they're open on Sat. so I called to ask some questions about a part I need. Lady answered and was kinda snippy and didn't know any answers. She hung up on me, so I called back. She answered again and then said they were closed, so I apologized for bothering her. My questions weren't out of line -- I just needed to know what to expect as a first time customer before driving all the way there. I bought what I needed elsewhere.

Friendly, fast, pragmatic and affordable. My new go-to for keeping old cars and trucks on the road. They do not allow Customers to wander around; it's not U-Pull-It or Pick-Ur-Part.They have a great and very fast system:You tell them what you want and if they have it (or might have it) they send a mechanic out to fetch the part. You can go with him if you want/need to provide details but you don't get your hands dirty! :-)The roving mechanics have their own mobile tool rig: an old car or truck with all their tools. It is a very cool way to do it.Highly recommended!
