I’ve banked with VFFCU for 35 years. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. Most of them helpful, considerate and customer oriented. There have been some serious issues over the years, but all eventually resolved. However, as the years have gone by, so has the level of service. The functionality of the organization has failed miserably to keep up with current technology and is completely out of touch with the credit union industry. The website and the app are both antiquated and barely adequate. I moved most of my business elsewhere a few years ago and considering closing all my accounts. Disappointed!

Horrible and rude! I've been with this bank maybe 2 months. My card has already been hacked! I got a new card and tried to use it on cash app and online and kept getting a messaging that my bank was declining my transactions. Called and they couldn't help at all! Asked to speak with a manager and was told they would call me back, never asked for my number or anything, needless to say I never received a call back. I will be withdrawing my money and taking my business elsewhere!

Just received a call from someone that wanted to start off rude like I’d inconvenienced her. but I’m pretty sure she caught herself and her nasty attitude. In the fact that I don’t live in the area, I just commute for work and travel for work and I’m in the area a lot they don’t open memberships up over the phone or online then why would there be an application process online. Very contradictory. It’s a federal credit union. Meaning it’s open to all different areas as long as you meet a certain requirement. Don’t even Deserve to receive one star for me. And the fact that I sat and read all the reviews had a lot of people talk about this company and I actually wanted to be a part of such a nasty attitude. No definitely not I will be spreading the word, and you know word of mouth is everything so good

I am sitting in the parking lot now going in to close my accounts. I have difficulty getting anyone to answer the phones. Their response to returning calls is not prompt if they bother to return them at all.

This credit union is more likely for an older crowd. Apple Pay comes in really handy, but unfortunately VFFCU does not offer apply pay or tap. Another downside is I often have issues with my debit card & it’s always at night when I’m out. I’ve been at this credit union since I was 17 years old, I’m going 27 & an absolutely NOTHING has Change in these years. So if you are part of the nightlife & often use Apple Pay/Tap, I would definitely suggest Coastal Federal Credit Union. I absolutely love them.

Everyone has always provided great service. Even through this tough time. I don't spend a lot of time on hold. Always answers whatever concerns that I have. Love that they inspected my car as well!

Poor online tools and security. Bad options for credit cards and international spending. While they certainly seem to try hard, there is literally no benefit to using them as opposed to a different bank or credit union.Edit: to expand on the VFFCU response on having "one of the best cards out there":1. I do not care about the 7.5%. No one I know pays interest. It could be .1% or 200%. This changes nothing for anyone I know.2. The card I have through VF only reports to Equifax. That is useless for any sort of credit building as lenders use only the middle score. VF convinced me this was the card for me back when I was a college student trying to build credit (I stated that was why I wanted it). Egregious.3. The VF card only allows you to manually pay the balance M-F 8-5. You cannot overpay. When trying to get a mortgage, THIS MATTERS as they want a 0 balance. VF cards cannot provide this reliably.4. If you use the VF card outside your typical city, it gets blocked, and you cannot fix this except M-F 8-5. Have you ever been 300 miles from home and had your card blocked on a Friday at 6PM and been unable to unlock it until Monday? Best vacation ever.5. Certain cities are just blocked from use. I used my card in Knightdale once and that locked my entire VF account. I work next to Knightdale. The VF representative told me that she could remove the block on Knightdale businesses, but I would be assuming full responsibility on any fraud for my card moving forward. Hard pass.6. No benefits (cash back, travel points etc.) on ANY of the cards.7. Your "international" card is just a pre-paid card with no benefits and egregious fees to do anything (call customer service costs money, checking your balance on the phone costs money). These fees are incurred both nationally and internationally.

This credit union is amazing. I just joined last year & love everything about it. Customer service is always friendly & they are always willing to assist me with all that I need. I especially love Stacey & Taylor. Taylor knows that I work 8 am to 5 pm and sometimes am unable to get to the bank in time. She goes above & beyond to get me my paperwork through email or however else I need it all while following federal guidelines & never misses a beat. I’ll definitely be a member for life!

My wife and I experience with vision financial Is the best ever. They treat You with the respect that you deserve. They go over and beyond to make it easier and a great experience for you. We never had a bank to do this for us. They even show so much respect and concern that they actually call you to check in on you to make sure you're okay wow what a bank.We are so blown away at the service and the courtesy that we receive at vision.This Durham branch should be the best branch in the entire world.How many bank managers that you made no that actually calls you to check in on you when you're in the hospital getting a kidney transplant sending cards and flowers to your room wow.We my wife and I Are going to change over the other finances that we have in pnc bank once they clear from the settlement Going to change it over to vision financial absolutely have to do that I want vision financial to handle all of our financial needs and issues so I encourage anybody and I do so often at my church break on my bank and my bank manager and specially the tellers as well they are so lovable.My vote and my wife votes that Stephanie the Loan manager officer I would think and the Name of the teller would be Chris the most adorable people in our lives right now they have really really helped us so I encourage anybody to just try them you can't go wrong.But really they are all great every last 1 of them but the 2 angels in our lives that have helped us so dearly is Stephanie and Chris we have known them now for about 9 years or more.So we do put all out trust in vision financial of Durham North Carolina with much respect.

I have banked with Vision for 14 years. My husband has for almost 4 years now. I couldn't ask for a better bank or staff. Such friendly people. They definitely know how to make you feel like family and get the job done without any stress.

I absolutely love this bank . I joined this bank through my employer and even miles a way they still seem to go the extra mile to make sure that all my needs are taken care of . Taylor Thomas is one of the amazing staff members that I’ve grown to love . She goes way beyond her work duties to assist me all the way in Myrtle Beach ! Great customer service goes a long way and that definitely describes this local branch !
