“Such a cute little shop, was excited to find a store that is gender fluid and inclusive and a lot of size inclusivity which was awesome for me.Kind of was expecting to be greeted or spoken to while we were there, wasn’t busy or anything. (my partner and I)That said, won’t hinder me from coming back of course. Very cool shop.”

“I HATE shopping, but Ariel at MODE makes it fun and takes the guesswork out of it for me. She's the reason I went to MODE today to shop for a lifestyle photo shoot coming up for my business, and I had no idea what to wear. Ariel understood the assignment. She picked clothes that I wouldn't have, but her style is better than mine. Protip from Ariel, try on everything you like, despite what the manufacturer's tagged size is. I bought clothes from size small to large and size 8-12. Ariel was there to tell me if something fit well or didn't. I've always just tried on what I thought my size was. Who knew! I ended up buying more clothes than I had planned to because she made the experience painless.”
“OH EM GEE. I feel like I found the best gem of vintage curation in all of Chapel Hill. Every piece inside was placed and handled with such care and detail that I wanted everything! Each garment felt hand selected and well thought out. Down to the very detail-oriented tags explaining materials and era that I found myself wanting to flip over every one to read each story. Great selection of all eras and all wearables. From jewelry and fascinators, to dresses and deadstock pants, lingerie to men's wear, and even adorable clothes for kids! There were eras represented from 1920’s to the early 2000’s and my favorite part, is that I didn't see a single piece of fast fashion replicas as you normally do when shopping vintage now. Oh! Don’t get me started on the incredible wide range of 70’s or I’ll be here forever. Even the midcentury modern furniture felt like it came right out of the owner’s home, and never touched. Immaculate curation, and great prices. I can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Sarah!”
“Such a fun place with a variety of whimsical, unique things! The vintage clothing is priced reasonably too. Definitely would recommend stopping in if you're in downtown Durham.”
“Bought a couch, chair and ottoman at a great price there years ago, and have been back several times for some home decor items. The people there are extremely nice.”
“Jay was incredibly generous and helped us on delivery. He has a fantastic inventory, and my parents have been thrilled with several pieces they have purchased. Thanks so much, Jay!”

“Highly recommend! This is the nicest consignment shop in the Durham / Chapel Hill area by far. The quality of the items, thoughtful layout of the store and excellent service make this your best bet for high quality furniture, rugs and finishing touches.”
“My experience with Ted and Sound Pure is always the absolute best. Incredible products, great prices and the customer support is hands-down, the best in the business. I have purchased many items from them and will continue to check Sound Pure first before buying.”
