My children have ALL have been going to UNC southpoint. Ive been taking my kids there for 18 years. However they have all been kicked out, and NOT because they aren't vaccinated...because they are all fully vaccinated. Let me tell you why...
They implanted a new "vaccine policy" even if you've had all your childhood vaccines... you now have to get vaccines in 7th grade, and again before your 17th birthday.
My son is 18 he declined the "before 17" year old vaccines, even though he had all the rest.. they kicked him from the practice.
My daughter came in a couple months back for her 11 year old check up, 6TH GRADE check up. They wanted to give her the mandatory 7th grade vaccines early. I declined, especially because Lily had severe reactions and delays from the dtap vaccines when she was little. Not to mention they aren't REQUIRED til SEVENTH GRADE. They kicked us from the practice and wouldn't finish her well child check. They also kicked my 16 year old, even though she's also fully vaccinated just because I declined giving my 11 year old her vaccines early. I was SHOCKED.
ZERO stars for this establishment

I ended up with care and follow up from several of the doctors because I was feeling quite ill and due to leave for Italy in 6 days. They got me scheduled with tests and the antibiotic I needed and I will be good for the trip. I appreciate the care I get here so much and I trust this practice.

I have been going to UNC family medicine since I was a child and I absolutely love this facility. Very accommodating, very knowledgeable and helpful individuals from the front office staff to the doctors and nurses. I have been seeing Antonio Rodriguez for many year and he is now my dr for my maternity care as well as my children’s primary care provider and we are always satisfied with Dr.Rodriguez, I highly recommend him and his services.

Dr. Heather Anderson came in with an attitude, accused me of being confrontational because I used AAVE then I let her know I was overwhelmed and not confrontational and she made snarky comments about how I speak saying me using AAVE is unfortunate. No it’s not it’s just she’s racist so to her I’m angry because she doesn’t use AAVE because it’s an African American form of speaking. And she told me the issues I was describing was out of her scope then said nothing was wrong. If you’re black and especially black women do not go here!!

Everyone here is very nice and friendly. Dr Gay is the best! So friendly and caring and understanding and really makes you feel like she is happy you are her patient. (I’ve had a few drs that seemed to be bothered having a patient). I highly recommend her, and best of all she takes care of my whole family! So happy we found her!

Very busy office but some wonderful doctors. It is difficult to get in for sick appointments.

It's probably best to go someplace else. Julie Monica For example, Is apparently very part time and someone referred to as a medical assistant is who you communicate with. If you're happy with that you'll be just fine. Prescriptions not called back to the pharmacy in a timely manner. But if you're happy with that you should be fine. If you have an issue with their office ,no one seems to really care and if that's not an issue for you you should be fine.

Dr. Johnson and Kim are the best! They always, always put my mind at ease. A very nurturing and kind spirited duo. They are both wonderful, caring people who truly care about their patients. I’ve been seeing Dr. Johnson since I was a kid that’s just how great she is! Lisa at the front is great as well!

After having to choose a new Dr. I ended up here, and have always been treated with respect of time and service. The staff is always very pleasant and courteous. I absolutely love dr Wehby! They’re all good but he’s the bomb.com!

Just got off the phone with scheduling and the physician I requested is not accepting new patients, so I inquired about those who are and the person who was on the phone was immediately rude about it and said that they anticipate to not have someone available until October to establish care. Overall bad vibes with the tone the person over the phone had.

Inexperienced Handling Sensitive Family MattersDr. Rodriguez served as a physician for myself, my children, and my grandchild. He should know my family quite well. However, I cannot recommend him or this practice to anyone dealing with a custody dispute or harassment. Unfortunately, they do not put the interests of the child first. My grandson's father has removed my daughter's information from files, made numerous false allegations, and so much more to build up his custody case. My daughter has reached out to the practice on numerous occasions and they have refused to ensure she is included as it pertains to her son's medical care. Mind you a joint custody order is in effect and medical decisions are supposed to be made jointly. Dr. Rodriguez has not made any attempts to confer with my daughter and writes any letters that the father requests. This is from inexperience but I also feel it is unethical and it is resulting in tremendous trauma for my daughter and grandson. I do not recommend but hope Dr. Rodriguez and staff will consider additional training for dealing with custody issues and domestic violence victims.
