Incredibly beautiful network of trails winding into the forest; well maintained, peaceful preserves open to all; pristine nature within a few miles of Durham, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough; a gift to the community; a gift to the earth. You’re free to roam unhindered. Thank you for maintaining this resource with so much love and care!

Absolutely shameful!!! Evicting a resident of almost 20 years from a very small property you recently acquired .He lived on about 1500 square feet next to your 420 + acres and every day after landscaping work he came home to sit and read his books starting with a few pages from the Bible. He was NEVER in your way of the preserve and never did anything wrong to anyone! You couldn't at least offer to sell him the tiny parcel where he peacefully resided all those years. This man is a saint that helps everyone he possibly can and TLC throws him out to the wolves after being a stellar Tennant. Inconsiderate to say the least ? hope you can explain that one to peter at the pearly gates but more than likely you will have to bragg about it in hell you 2 faced better than thou hypocrites !

I've visited Brumley Forest, Horton Grove, and Johnston Mill Nature Preserves. Fantastic islands of calm and beauty in the midst of urban and suburban hustle and bustle.

Beautiful trails. Clear, running streams, which seem so rare near here. Short loops. Longer loops. Combine loops for an even longer hike. We will definitely be back to see how spring has changed the view.

How could you NOT like them? Proactively conserving land is critical in the process of urban development/sprawl or our grandchildren won't have a decent environment with exposure to natural recreation. Their work to protect RDU Forest is particularly important at the moment.

Great organization fighting for public space, MTB, and hiking trails. Definitely worth supporting.
