“I’m not one to leave many reviews but I like to give credit where it is due! I brought over the wheel from a different vehicle in my trunk that needed a tire replacement; they were able to find a match and bend the rim back in place just enough to get the new (used) tire on. Very personable crew and a more than reasonable cost. Could not have asked for a better outcome, thank you!”

“My disabled child and I were in Durham for a doctor’s appointment - we live 3.5 hours away. My car broke down and I was on the side of the road with my disabled kid in her wheelchair.
The towing company was very sympathetic and suggested Ingold Tire & Auto Service Center as the best solution. I think if a towing company recommends a place to a woman stranded on the side of the road with a disabled child, the place has a good reputation with the people that count.
Ingold Tire was able to fix my car same day. I’m pretty sure everyone there went home a little late because they helped me and my kid out but they acted like it wasn’t a big deal.
I saw first hand today how the staff took time to speak to each customer and explain what was broken and the options for fixing the problem. They are very aware people aren’t made of money and they are not pushing unnecessary repairs on anyone.
The place has a good vibe. They have a lot of repeat customers and people from all walks of life and they treat everyone with the same respect.
The work is top notch, honest and they’ll tell you what has to be fixed now and what could be more elective.
Plus, you can drop your car off and go get lunch at Grub down the street. Super convenient and absolutely wonderful people.
To the ownership and staff: My kid said she never expected strangers to care so much for her and help her so much and that having people like you in her life makes living with her disability possible. She was really terrified and you’re just absolutely amazing people for being the way you are. I don’t have the words to express how grateful we are. Thank you!”
“I absolutely love Payne’s. They work so hard to help you and are great people. There is sometimes a wait dropping off and picking up but that’s just because they are being thorough either explaining things to customers or going over details on the bays. This shop needs to be highlighted more for the quality and affordability they provide. We’ve been going to them for years and they even work on our quirky JDM classic import without complaint. 5 stars anyday.”

“It was a process, and an unfortunate and unexpected outcome with the rims I wanted. Both Anna and the dude who assisted with doing the tire change were top notch. It wasn’t their fault but the rims weren’t as expected. Let’s just say gloss black with the red trim isn’t always what they appear inside on display. Once I saw them on and outside in the sun it was NOT the ones I wanted.Much respect for Rim Tyme doing the right thing and getting me out the door to keep me satisfied. As always they have a huge selection of rims at a reasonable price.”
