I have my first visit at this location, and I was so happy with all the people work in there starting with the receptionist, the tech who does the eyes test, the Dr and the guy who's help me to pick my glasses. Thank you to all of your perfect customer service. Keep with the good work!

i came in for my appointment today 03/05 & they canceled my appointment because i didn’t confirm the appointment through a phone call but i was sent multiple emails confirming my appointment so i don’t understand how one phone call canceled the whole appointment .

I've use My Eye Doctor locations for my sons and myself for several years with a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it was not the case for this location. My prescription was inaccurate from my initial appt in Jan, after an attempt to correct the prescription in Feb. was unsuccessful I requested a refund. This experience has caused a time consuming inconvience as I now need to find a new vision care office and work with my insurance company to ensure that I will still be entitled to my yearly eye exam.

I LOVED my experience at this office! I have anxiety and going in for ANY checkup usually overstimulates and stresses me out. I love that this office is full of POC and black professionals, which just added to my comfort. The office vibe is friendly and serene and I LOVED Dr. Rhodes and Ms. Paula!

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about all questions I had. I have 5 kids and they were able to see them all the same day which is amazing. The scheduling site online is super easy!!!

This is the most unprofessional office in Durham! The last two appointments that have been scheduled, have not been honored! The first time, the doctor was “sick” and we didn’t even so much as receive a phone call to let us know! I lost pay as I had already taken off because of the appointment! Fast forward to 1/23/24, received a voicemail stating the doctor had to leave due to an “emergency”, two hours before scheduled appointment time. Needless to say, I didn’t check my voicemails until AFTER I was in route! The receptionist could offer nothing except an unsympathetic apology and a bunch of excuses! This lack of professionalism is unacceptable and it’s time to find a new eye doctor, that actually comes to work!

My appointment was scheduled for 8:40. I arrived at 8:50 due to limit parking the parking lot was packed. I walked through the door at 8:51 and the receptionist wasn’t even there. When she finally came around the corner we had already been standing there for a few minutes and she proceeds to say “The doctor only give a 10 minute grace period” I explained to her what happened and she was stuck on I should’ve arrived at 8:50 and so on. Another patient that was waiting to be seen gave up her spot and allowed us to get her appointment because of how the way the receptionist acted. I understand the 10 minute grace period but like I explained before there was limited parking and we waited a few minutes before the receptionist came back to the desk. That’s not how you talk to people let alone act at your place of business

Harmonious vibes of all the good in universe. Exceptional compassion, care, and attention for first time patient. I can't speak to product yet as my insurance required a specific lab do lense. Price was fair, but really the service epitomized a level most can't even imagine. Truly either super or exactly 100% pure natural energy.

I scheduled an appointment about a month ago, which can be challenging for someone with ADHD. I received a text message to confirm my appointment and promptly replied to confirm it. However, when I arrived at the scheduled time, five minutes early, I was informed that they had actually canceled my appointment because I hadn't provided a verbal confirmation over the phone. It's important to note that they called me less than 24 hours prior, during a busy work period, when I had no time to return their call.They proceeded to make me wait in the waiting room for 40 minutes without informing me about the situation or offering any solutions. Feeling frustrated, I approached the receptionist to inquire about my status, to which they casually responded, "We are all booked up today." It was only when the doctor happened to come out that they suggested they could squeeze me in if I could prove that I had confirmed the appointment.Thankfully, due to my habit of not deleting texts and constantly having numerous tabs open on my browser, I was able to find the confirmation text and present it as evidence. Eventually, they agreed to "fit" me in, but the experience left me feeling quite aggravated and dissatisfied.

I have not gone to my first time visit to these location and I already have a bad costumer service incident. After telling the lady the call me that I did not have time to take her call , she simple had a attitude and hang-up the phone. After all all the negative comments here make sense now.

Let me say Paula and Jose were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me. I broke my glasses - frame and lenses - and I was mega stressed ! Their willingness to help melted that stress away. I have been a customer for several years and I will remain a customer because of their willingness to help and go above and beyond. I also want to add that all of the staff and doctors are amazing as well ! Amazing customer service goes a long long way and I would recommend MyEyeDr at Durham-South Square to everyone !!
