Well stocked and good selection. The Lowes app is pretty accurate at telling you what aisle things are on. Sometimes hard to get help on weekends when it is busy so just a heads up on that.

Never enough employees to assist. Employees are great, but finding them is the issue. If you go after 8pm, you're pretty much on your own in certain departments because no one can be found. I usually find what I need.

UPDATE: I posted the review below, which included ONE star, earlier in this month. At that time, I wrote directly to the store manager of store #2778. Within a day of receiving my letter, the manager called me and apologized. She could not have been more professional or understanding. Further, she volunteered to make us "whole," that is, to cover the cost of installing the defective appliance. (I had not asked for that.) I have nothing but praise for the way Ms. Paschall handled the issue. As a result, we will return to Lowe's and trust that all will go smoothly in the future.
We had a hideous experience buying a dishwasher from Lowe's. Lowe's policy gives the consumer just 48 hours to return a major appliance. We did not realize until 72 hours had passed that the appliance was defective. Specifically, it was missing four parts, which caused it to leak onto the kitchen floor and then into the basement. We went immediately to the store to explain that we needed a replacement. The first "assistant manager" we spoke with was rude, combative, smirky, accusatory, condescending, and, most importantly, unwilling to hear our concerns and work for a solution. We asked to see someone else, and a very professional member of the staff began to work with us. Unfortunately, because of policies beyond this person's capacity to change, we were not able to get a replacement. We were told there would need to be a repair, which we did not want. We had paid for a new machine. We wanted a new machine. The other choice was a refund, which we agreed to.
In short,
1) Lowe's 48-hour return policy is draconian. That short period disadvantages the consumer and benefits only Lowe's.
2) There is no excuse for rudeness when dealing with a customer.
FYI: Best Buy was happy to sell us a new machine with a return policy, which we did not need, that was reasonable and fair. By the way, when we walked into Best Buy, we learned that we were the fourth "badly-treated Lowe's customer" to come in in the past week.

Getting propane always takes 25 minutes after checkout because apparently none of the 8 employees in customer service can spare a minute to open the cabinet while the remaining 7 employees help the 2 customers in line.

I bought blinds and needed them cut to size. The button on the aisle to call assistance isn’t working (and wasn’t working 3 months ago when I bought before). I asked staff and they paged for assistance several times. I went to the service desk and they paged for assistance. They called for a manager who never came. After 40 minutes passed they found someone from flooring who could help. The service desk staff and Dylan from flooring were very nice. I bought the blinds at 10:44am and did not get them cut until 11:25am. A lot of time wasted.

Today, I believe I was racially profiled by a black female worker at this store. I came to this store today to get shipping/moving boxes. I grabbed what I needed and headed for the checkout. I have gone to this location multiple times and I have never experienced what I experienced today. When I reached self-checkout this woman stood in my way and stopped me in my tracks; she asked me if I was checking out. DUH. I am clearly heading toward the checkout. She then proceeds to follow me to the checkout, grab the scanner for scanning the product, and then asked me how many boxes I had. I am so taken aback by her doing this I can barely gather words to respond. She then scans my boxes for me and proceeded to stand beside me while I swipe my card. She was watching the entire transaction. I came to the realization that she thought I would be stealing. I have worked in retail before, I was not born yesterday. As many times as I’ve come to this location, I have never had any employee take it upon themselves to scan things for me; I am a grown woman, I can do that myself. I have never left a store without my items PAID FOR. I realized I missed a box and miscounted after looking at the receipt (if she wasn’t in my face, I probably wouldn’t have missed it) and scanned the remaining box, got the other receipt, and left. I am disappointed in her behavior, black woman to black woman. If you are going to be on thief patrol, make sure you apply your behavior to EVERYONE and not just your own. I will not be going back here. How unpleasant.

BEWARE!!!! LOWE'S in Fayetteville Rd located South Durham area will reel you in with low cost flooring installation and then in the middle of the work will add additional cost and say that they will halt install if not paid. Upfront we have paid a total of $7853 for materials and labor. This was for vinyl flooring on slab for about 800 sq feet. 75% of the flooring was ripped out already due to water damage so the bare floor was visible and easy to assess. Other quotes we had already included grinding and leveling. Lowe's came in to measure the area and assess work that needed to be done. Their quote came lower than other quotes and since it is a big company I was confident to chose them. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! We had to add $2700 to the labor cost. They worked with LEGACY FLOORING. I see this as very strategic in taking advantage of consumers. On top of this, we were promised with a delivery date of 4/29/24 and was delayed 2 weeks. I spoke with Doug their supervisor who was not very helpful. I requested for detailed receipt with photos of the flooring issues for insurance and we have not receive it. I am hoping that this review will help consumers out there making decisions. PLEASE BEWARE!!!
