Best eye urgent care. I'm glad I went there! On a Sunday when I was despairing about finding an urgent medical facility, I called them, made an appointment and without much delay their staff attended to my needs. Very professional and pleasant. Ihighly recommend the Eye Center.

Review of Recent VisitDear Optometry Office in SouthPoint Mallam writing this review to express my disappointment with the level of service and professionalism I experienced during my recent visit to your office. As a long-term customer who has been availing of your services for the past 10 years, I feel compelled to provide feedback on the recent visit.During some communication with my assistant, she had inquired about the exam and cost. Unfortunately, I found out the front desk staff had been unfriendly to her and their attitudes towards me were less than satisfactory. I was taken away by their aggressive behavior and the inappropriate comments that were made. This kind of demeanor was unexpected and did not align with the friendly and approachable service I had come to expect from your office.Furthermore, I was disappointed to notice that unlike other patients, I was not offered the opportunity to purchase glasses or contacts after my appointment. This lack of attention to my needs as a customer made me feel undervalued and neglected.In addition, I had specifically requested that my autistic son be scheduled with a specific doctor, but this request was not accommodated. Moreover, during my son's eye exam, the doctor did not provide any feedback or information about the examination. As a concerned parent, I had hoped to receive some insights and guidance regarding my son's eye health, but unfortunately, this was not provided.Considering the unpleasant experience and unprofessional behavior I encountered during my recent visit, I regret to inform you that I will not be recommending your office to friends, family, or acquaintances in the future. I have been a loyal customer for a decade and have appreciated the service I received in the past. However, the recent changes in the office environment and the lack of professionalism have left me with no choice but to seek alternative optometry services elsewhere.I sincerely hope that you take this feedback seriously and address the issues I have raised. It is my belief that constructive criticism can help improve the quality of service and maintain the reputation of your office. Excellent front desk folks who work seamlessly with insurance and inform about potential charges in advance. Also good at coordinating records with other providers. Excellent care with the optometrist (Dr. David Wong) and his assistant. Good service at Lens Crafters too, though their prices are high, even with insurance.

Best experience on a short notice. Michelle was awesome making sure our last minute appointment was properly confirmed with all hiccups that those last minute requests come with. Kudos again to Michelle and the front office all the way to Dr. Besharat.

I was overdue for a yearly eye exam AND also in need of a walk-in appointment today as a follow up from urgent care for bacterial conjunctivitis. I had scheduled an appointment online with Visionworks… but it doesn’t tell you it’s telehealth until after the fact. So I was turned away. I then called the optometrist I went to in the past… they were booked up… and rude. Third times the charm… I called and spoke with Alexis at the LensCrafters- Durham location. As we were speaking, the last available appointment was taken by someone else. I felt so defeated. It’s already been a rough week (pink eye), a rough season (my husband passed in Aug.), & thus, a rough birthday (tomorrow). BUT Alexis was SO helpful! She offered to call other LensCrafter locations in the area & found an appointment for me. She noted my birthday, took my insurance info down, even text me directions and additional info for the appointment. She’s my life saver today. Her positivity, her helpfulness and professionalism really did make me feel like there might still be some good left in today. Thank you again! - Candis McLaughlin

The staff at The Eye Center at Southpoint is such a pleasure to interact with. They are kind and friendly and very helpful. My appointment was on time and efficient. Dr. Fowler was so knowledgable and helpful and made me feel really comfortable while getting my prescription updated as well as addressing some things I was really nervous about. Thank you Dr. Fowler and staff!!
