I picked up my daughter today from school. She was outside playing in 40° weather with her jacket Unzipped. Her shoes were on the wrong feet. We are home and I put her on the potty and she has no underwear on. They said they sent us a message about her Not having anymore potty training pants. But I found 2 when I picked her up. And they provide pull-ups and diapers. So I don't understand.

Please don’t. The worker told my toddler I'm tired of picking you up. I would like to give zero stars.

The director Renee, is amazing with the kids. The staff are so kind, and operate a very clean establishment. Very safe, and COVID appropriate.

We are very impressed with the quality and safety La Petite Academy of Durham provides since daycares have opened back up. Ms Renee greets us at the door each morning with a smile and welcoming arms. After a few mornings of apprehension our 2 yr old son now runs right in after his temperature check ready to paint, read and have tons of fun. We love seeing what he is eating and what is happening through the day with the brightwheel app and love the pictures/videos which are posted each day. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful place, we highly recommend La Petite Academy!

So thankful for La Petite and the staff! The location is perfect as it’s close to our home. The hours fit our family’s schedule so we don’t have to rush to pick up our little one! The entire staff is friendly, loving and professional! The director and all of the teachers feel like family! The care and attention that they give our child and the all of the children gives our family the assurance we need to know our child is in the BEST care! I LOVE how the center sends us pictures of our child throughout the day so we can see what’s going on! The daily schedule updates are helpful! Looking for the BEST childcare in Durham, La Petite Academy is IT!

The preschool was very convenient to my house and seemed clean. LOVED the idea of security cameras and the door code to get in.They are very focused on their curriculum which was somewhat behind what my daughter was already doing at that age. Kids her age dont need curriculum they need a fun safe place to be with learning worked in, I felt they were to focused on it.I was considering enrolling her until the staff walked in with an attitude and the director tried to kiss my baby on her lips. Unacceptable, I immediately felt that I wouldnt have control over my daughters daycare experience if the director thought that was okay. The daycare also seemed cramped up and unorganized. The next daycare I visited was more expensive but extremely well ran and you can just tell the difference in quality.I would feel fine sending an older child here but not a infant or toddler. The staff seemed like they were there for a paycheck.

I'm thankful and grateful to have found such a safe, caring and wonderful daycare where my infant daughter is treated as seen as one of theirs and I love the constantly updated Brightwheel app notification on how she is doing. The Director Renee is very sharp and caring and always reminds me of the important events and concerns that she notices and Teacher Amber is absolutely amazing and my daughter loves being with her. We looked at a bunch of places all throughout Durham and this La Petite was the only place where everyone cared and was extra clean and transparent.

We looked at several daycares for my infant daughter and within seconds of walking into La Petite on Highgate, we knew this was the place. Our first impression was that the daycare center was clean, has high security at the front door, and there are windows and security cameras with a huge TV to ensure maximum safety. After many months, this is still true.Everyone here values safety above all else. But the best part absolutely came down to the fantastic and wonderful teachers and the super kind director Renee. They all care about my daughter so much and bring up any concerns they have very promptly. This goes for all the teachers here, not just the infant room teachers—they all love my daughter and know her by name. I attribute my daughter's happy disposition (even though she's only five months old) due to the upbeat, sweet, kind, and excited caregivers here. She is always smiling when I sneak up on her to pick her up and I truly know she is having a good time. I trust all of the teachers and they are very prompt with the Brightwheel app as well. I always know when my daughter ate, napped, and had a diaper change. I am happy we have found a place for my daughter that I can always rely on.

This isn't a review on the classroom setting but a review of the front office staff. I stayed in this place to enroll my child for over an hour and a half because the receptionist was unsure of what she was doing. I had no problem with that because patience and understanding are important. But after all of this to get a text message the following day saying my child could not enroll because someone wasn't there to enroll her without any empathy or care for the matter is very unprofessional. If only I was told this from the beginning at least I could have known. Sometimes things like this happen for a reason. This LA Petite won't be a fit for my family. The attitudes of the people in the front office will always say a lot about the establishment as a whole. Good customer service is always important.

Me and my 15mo son have a tour with them today. Based off of the website, it looks like it should be a good choice. Hopefully I will feel the same way after the tour! *crosses fingers*

We moved from NYC and our 5 year old attended the Pre-K program. The transition was made very easily and the teachers and directors are very warm and welcoming. I felt comfortable leaving my daughter there and she loved her teachers so much. They even invited her to attend graduation even after she left the last month of school due to our move out of the county. She was so happy to be back with her friends.

Great daycare!!! My infant son has been going to LPA - Highgate for three months and we are very satisfied with his care. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and conscientious, and parents receive real time status updates through a phone app.

Don't take your child to this daycare.. My daughter was enrolled in this day care for a year, everything was great until they changed director, and some of the team members. When my fiance picked up up my daughter she had a bruised cheecks, and her lips were also bruised, when my fiance checked the inside of her lip blood started gushing out of the inside of her upper lip. The daycare told us after that they put ice on it and didn't see any blood after we confronted them about it, becuase they didn't check. They didn't attempt to call us nor gave us a incident report 24 hours AFTER we asked for it. Had to take my daugher to Urgent Care, and make an appointment with the dentist were her tooth had to be pulled out due to the infection, and because the daycare didn't care enough to check if everything was ok, the worst part was they didn't even call us to let us know anything happen!Mind you they tell you if anything happens they will call you to let you know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DAYCARE!!!
