I always do all my own automotive repairs on my vehicles however a total transmission swap was a little more than I could handle in my driveway. Between the Lexus dealer recommending Jakes & all of their phenomenal reviews on Google, I knew this was where I had to take my car. Frank in the front office was straight forward & on point with everything he said & did. There were no delays or run-a-rounds. The whole job was finished exactly on schedule with no issues....... My car is as good as new, though I didn't own it since new. Yes, it was pricey but, you get what you pay for & quality & respect is what I got at Jakes........ If you're ever in the same situation please go the extra mile for the knowledge & respect you'll get at Jakes. You will not be disappointed. I guarantee it & they do as well ?.

Went in here after having some concerns for misdiagnosis of my transmission. The gentleman in front was very kind. They are great about returning calls and getting back with you. They fixed it problem that I was told was $10,000 for under $300 and I had my car back well within eight hours.

Called today for appointment for tomorrow. We dropped it off the same day I’d called (out of convenience for us). Frank called me back the same day to say the car was ready to go earlier than what we were told. Frank and his team are the best. I highly recommend this business.

Please beware!!! Check your other options. Ordered a Jakes stage 3 4l80e transmission to complete my build on my 650hp, Whipple supercharged, 2003 tahoe. Look up a my video in a month on YouTube called my Whipple Supercharged Wheelchair. This is a build my family has helped me to accomplish. I'm a handicapped man but that's neither here nor there. Nice staff at Jakes just leads to more frustration. Jakes Mistakes, sent a stage 3, 4l80 to me. It took nearly a year to get. Whole time I was told "its on the bench" and given the next arbitrary date they didn't achieve! I finally received Jakes Mistakes transmission. It felt clunky and horrible. It wouldn't engage reverse reliably. First gear shift was so violent it beat up my new ujoints and lashings in rear end. Several times it endangered my family by being on a hill and not reversing. It's really easy to get into sticky situations when you rely on reverse and in a 4 wheel drive! My tuner and installer tried communicating with Jakes. Which is is a whole complication in itself. Jakes said "add a quart of fluid", even after telling them the danger I encountered. I told them how dangerous I thought that was being the level of proper install and dipstick measuring that goes into these transmissions for correct install. Plus it's put me in a ditch and a fence twice trying to use reverse. Which I told Jake. Jakes said keep driving it, but my tuner said we got to get this back, it's too dangerous. Finally Jakes agreed to take the tranny back. Jakes got it into the shop, diagnosed it and realized they put a wrong pump in it. Fortunately the staff fell on their sword and said it was completely Jakes fault. By now, I had so much extra cost and damage that was caused by this faulty transmission. Jakes said that all that damage was my responsibility. So they send out the replacement transmission, but guess what, it cost to pull the transmission and install it again. I asked Jakes to only pay for the install which didn't cover any of the broken or worn brand new parts that the faulty transmission had caused. I explained That this was a superfluous install as it was created by Jakes faulty transmission. These extras were $3600+ worth of labor and parts that Jakes mistakes caused. I couldn't afford any of it as my family and community had help build me a rig that could get me places I couldn't normally go. Jakes has put me in a real bind. I nicely pleaded with Jakes to please help me. HERE IS JAKES REPLY. It's clearly written in our policies, as well as every other performance transmission company. We make mistakes and we cover that. We didn't install the trans and profit from that, so we don't warranty that. Not to mention that the R&R cost you submitted was over double what a normal rate is. Jake Well Jake I'm sorry your bottom line doesn't allow you to do the correct thing and Actually cover your mistakes. My tahoe wheelchair is currently sitting in my driveway and not usable. You forgot your oath and path Jake. Heartbroken at best, Carl

Dropped my car off for a diagnostic on a Thursday they said they’ll have it ready by Friday they never called I called them on Monday my car was driving fine before but now it’s worst than before I ask them what they did the msn simply said “ we didn’t do anything but scan it “ no wonder there diagnostic are free they don’t do anything plus they over charge try shopping around first before settling with Jake

When I called them I was told to bring my vehicle in and they could diagnose the problem in less than an hour. When I took it in I was told that it would take several days. I didn’t leave the vehicle and won’t take it back.
