While convenient as I get my groceries here, I sadly cannot recommend this pharmacy. I was treated with extreme unprofessionalism when I brought an error of theirs to their attention. On two separate occasions they have inputted the number of pills or days incorrectly. They have also inputted 0 refills for a prescription I had refills for. Very slow to respond and not courteous in the slightest.

There are one or two women who work in this pharmacy who are extremely nice and helpful. If they aren't there, be prepared for an argument or long wait times. The pharmacy has problems with answering their phone. Ironically, I got someone on the phone this morning to ask about transferring pharmacies, and they decided to tell me the new pharmacy was "notorious" for not answering the phone or calling patients. I said that's funny, it sounds like they have the same problem as you all. "WELL WE ARE ON THE PHONE NOW AREN'T WE?!"The pharmacist that works at this location is miserable. I've been ignored multiple times while waiting for someone to wait on me and god forbid you come to the pharmacy close to their lunch time. The last time I was there I tried to call before I came because it was close to their lunch time. No one answered, so I had to go in. In the middle of ringing me up, it became 2:30pm and the woman who was helping me told me I would have to come back at 2:30 because now she's on lunch. Customers would be nicer and more sympathetic if they weren't treated so horribly here! I am sympathetic to staffing shortages and the awful wages these places pay - but what is not helpful is being so rude and nasty to everyone.Additionally, they rarely have the medication that I take. Previous pharmacists that have worked here have given me different mg of my meds to get my prescription semi-filled and sometimes it is a fight to get them to do that. If you don't have my medication, just reach out to me to freaking tell me so I'm not sitting around wondering if I will have my medication or not.

No one answers the phone, like ever. No option to leave a message. Leave one with a person in customer service and still no one calls back. Oh well if you’re out of your medication I guess. These pharmacists and techs certainly don’t care.

The staff of always friendly and wonderfully helpful, however their phone service is a nightmare if you ever want to talk to someone or leave a message. If they’re not open, but will open soon, the phone will never stop ringing (no taking you to voicemail, no one picking up, and no taking you back to the phone tree). If they’re open, almost every time, no one will pick up, and you’ll cycle back to the initial phone tree after a couple of seconds of listening to the music, and even repeating that 5-6 times will not result in anyone ever picking up, or allowing you to leave a message. The best time I have ever found to be able to leave a message is in the middle of the night, when the phone will state that they are closed and let you leave a message. Given that I have to call in to check the availability of certain medications every month (and repeatedly during a week if they are not available), and used to have prescriptions on file with them that I would call to tell them to fill, I can confirm that this is not a one-off problem, but one that has been a very serious problem for years. I have complained to them before about it, and nothing has ever changed.

I’ve been calling for two days and no one answers the phone. Super frustrating, I have to go elsewhere.

was 4 to 5 stars for last 3 years, but 4 most recent visits have been inexplicably time wasting. Seems like it's every tech's first day each time. Can't understand how always seem so short staffed. They request you call a day ahead (wait/busy-signal/automated-call-ends for 30 minutes each time, and still have to wait 5-30 minutes on pick up the next day). And twice out of the med that they have had the rx for for 30 days and which is a time-regulated rx. . . prices are good and ppl are friendly and caring, but mind-boggling inefficiencies in process have me going elsewhere.

This Harris Teeter was very similar to other ones. The produce section was much more fresh than the other ones I have been too. The shelves were a little bare but I did come late afternoon on a Sunday so that was expected. The parking lot can be a challenge during busy times. It was very hard to pull out of the parking lot and there were other cars coming from every direction.

I recently relocated to Durham from Charlotte, where I was a regular HT customer for the past 11 years. A couple of weeks ago I was in this store and purchased three packages of tempeh (fermented bean curd) about $3/each. When I went to cook the tempeh a few days ago I found the contents blackened and rotting well beyond useable. (Sometimes it's possible to trim the blackened edges but this lot was too far gone.) I returned to the store today without a receipt...(I'm living in an Extended Stay while I look for a place to buy and getingt my ex-wife with severe dementia set up in the assisted living facility she's moved into. Life is challenging and chaotic... and who can keep track of receipts?) The CS clerk refused to issue a refund because I had no receipt. Read the policy I was told. In the Ballantyne stores I frequented in Charlotte on occasion I faced the same issue and never had a problem. Forget how much money I've spent in HT just this year and for maybe $8-$9 they're gonna piss me off and lose a customer? I asked to speak to the manager. He asked me if I used my Vic card when I made the purchase and I assured him I did. He then asked the clerk to search for my purchase. The clerk asked me for the date of purchase. Who remembers that? He obviously wanted to stick by the rules and issue no receipt. I understand the need for receipts. But I also understand good - and sensible - customer service. Does it make sense to lose a good customer over maybe $10?. So what did I do? I WENT TO WEGMANS! LOL PS. While I was requesting the refund there was a Black man to my left doing something with another CS clerk. He felt it necessary to comment to the (Black) clerk who was serving me that this was "privilege." I got it. I know what white privilege is. He may have been right. As the dialogue continued he indicated that "a Black man would never be able to return something without a receipt." And we got into it - almost to fisticuffs. That may be true and patently unfair. I believe the same rights and privileges ought to be furnished to ANY HT customer. It's just plain bad business to lose a customer who's spent hundreds of dollars for $10. The manager is an idiot. And this store must see too many deadbeats for customers to warrant a more liberal refund policy. BUT WEGMANS! WHAT A PLACE!

The pharmacy technician told me today: "you should've called us yesterday to have this ready for you".... Is it my job to call the pharmacy and remind them that have refills that they have for over a month?!?!

I'd give this place 5 stars, but my experience this last Saturday with the two new floaters was horrible. To be fair though, the store manager Rodney called me up and apologized. He's doing something about it.Used to be a pharm tech for 2 years. If a tech is struggling and taking long, the pharmacist is supposed to help. Instead, I requested the Pharmacist to help the tech.Debit card option wasn't working either. Entered the correct pin. It did NOT say ‘incorrect pin’’ Transaction cancelled on me 4 times. At this point, there was a long line.Asked the pharmacist to help me since the tech couldn't figure it out.PHARMACIST REFUSED TO HELP ME CHECK OUT!So I asked her again. She finally came to help. After everything, tech was shooing me away, "Go, Go!" So she didn't give me a grocery bag for my other items. When I tried to fit everything, it tore up my bag.The bottles weren't filled up correctly either. 1 bottle should contain a monthly supply for the same med, its never supposed to be split up into 2 bottles. That goes against the standard pharmacy practice.

Always friendly pharmacists willing to take time to answer questions. When there’s a line, pharmacists are savvy about multi-tasking. Always helpful over the phone. To fast track the recorded phone process press 4 and then zero. Super easy to pick up prescriptions here!

For some reason, I really like the layout of this store. It gives me the counter clock shopping experience that I'm used to - veggies, carbs, meat, dairy, and back around. It's a really clean store with a lot of parking. Also, located by a bunch of other stores too. I usually grab my Asian groceries at Li Ming, I didn't realize that this was just up the road. Sounds like I've found my new shopping route!

This is one of three Harris Teeter locations within a few miles of me, and my overall comment applies to all of them. Their quality and selection are usually good but their prices are on the higher end. This place can get quite busy on the weekends and the parking lot can be a hassle. Nowadays, I'll come here if I can't find an item anywhere else or if I have a coupon. I'll still hit Aldi and Sprouts first, though.
