Asked for Red pea soup, and it was made with chicken back smh how cheap. This was a soup full of bones. I’m new to NC from NYC and this is not how it’s done, red pea soup is made with beef. Keep in mind Golden Krust is a last resort where I’m from. Absolutely positively horrible, thought I found something.

Not authentic priced high .I ordered red snapper fillet and paid the high price hoping for good food.. but they gave me salmon as if I wouldn't know .. then attempted to tell me thats all they had. Yet they tried to decieve me. Bad business. I'm from New York home of some the best carribbean n Jamaican food .our Golden Krust is authentic.They are not it.

I have been living in this area for the past two and a half years. Not many places I'm completely satisfied with...the food was the best carribean food I've had here. My taste buds were extremely satisfied.

Wow, has this place changed in the last year. First off, the price has gone up about 45%. It used to be that you could get a large chicken curry with plantains, steamed cabbage and yellow rice for about $11. Now it's about $14 with an extra $3 for the plantains. That's ridiculous.Secondly, the food is not what it used to be. The chicken was full of bones with very little gravy. The rice was dry and not cooked all the way.I was wondering why it was so empty when I walked in today. Usually there is an about 10 minutes, today there was only one person in front of me.Too bad because I would treat myself about once every other week to this restaurant. Oh well, I suppose that I will get my Jamaican fix from the food truck on Guess rd, near the Popeyes. Give them a try, they are really good.

This is the absolute WORST Caribbean restaurant in town. The large oxtail dinner plate is not big enough to feed one child and expect to be full . The plate servings are ridiculously small but the price is taxed to the max. I’m so pleased that over the years more Caribbean restaurants have came about bc this one here is a huge disappointment I wouldn’t advise wasting your money and not getting full and the food quality is basic nothing spectacular at all . Golden krist please do better

Food is pricey for the amount you receive. They have plantains again, but now charge you separately for them. They also have no white mean j*** chicken. Definitely has become a subpar place to dine.

Curry goat? was salty as heck, brown stew chicken was bland the rice and peas was also salty,the cabbage was okay. They didn't have any plantains. Over priced and bad quality will not return. Didn't want to but gave the homeless guy the food. Oh yeah even homeless man didn't even want the food ?. I don't usually bash other people's food publicly but after spending almost $40 and wasn't satisfied man I had to.

I ordered a large oxtail plate with just rice gravy and oxtail suppose. This server doesn't know what large is for the money your paying. I'm not a racist my son is half white but this girl doesn't know what large plate is. I was not satisfied and felt like I paid too much money for what she gave me. I'm taking my business somewhere. Yall will loose a lot of money behind this.
