ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS MUST BE FRIENDS LYIN ON THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE TRASH & ALL THE BAF REVIEWS SAYING THE EXACT SAME THING‼️‼️?????????IF You WANNA GET SCAMMED ??CALL THEM!!! THEY DEFINITELY WILL SCAM YOUThey are definitely lyin if they say these ppl are good!!! Not trust worthy they have lazy movers & the take hours wrapping furniture killing time running the bill up…I would never recommend these ppl to anyone…if you choose them you will be disappointed!!!!

Perfect if you want your things broken and phones stolen from you home ! Hey for extra credit they’ll even jam your storage unit door and send workers who pretend not to know what’s going on even though one of them came with the team that decided to pull up with alcohol while begging me to go get more ! Great experience man couldn’t have had a better time with these great people! Ps don’t call the office they hang up instead of taking accountability.

Do not use this moving company. This is the first time I've ever left a review for a business but the experience was so awful I felt I had to share and warn other prospective customers. DC Movers broke the air conditioning in my apartment (along with several other personal items) leaving me without AC in 95 degree weather and the company did little to nothing to compensate me after the fact. Communication was poor from the start. I was under the impression the pick-up and drop-off portions of my move would be done in the same day. 2 days before my move was suppose to happen I was told they would pick up my things on a Friday then drop items off the following day (despite receiving emails saying otherwise). The movers arrived 45 mins late on pick-up day. Additionally, the signed contract stated I would be provided with 3 movers and a truck for the fee I paid. Only 2 movers were present for both pick-up and drop-off. Movers dropped several of my boxes scattering my personal items across the hallway of my apartment building and causing several items to break. When moving a couch, the movers ripped the thermostat in my new apartment completely off the wall. I was told I could fill out forms to be compensated for the damage. I sent numerous emails over the course of the next week trying to follow up on the damage claims and did not get a response. When I finally got ahold of someone on the phone, they were rude and patronizing and told me that nothing could be done to compensate me for ripping the thermostat off the wall. Ultimately, they wound up paying me $150 for the personal items they broke and said that it was "more than what they normally paid" to help compensate for the AC too.

My wife and I requested DC Movers to transfer a solid piece of heavy furniture upstairs. The owner communicated very well and was great to work with. The moving transpired professionally and expediently. Staff showed a strategic approach to moving the items. Movers responded well to my direction while observing the move. Given the dimensions of the object and available moving area, they showed excellent precision in their maneuvering skills. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Horrible experience. We scheduled a moving appt with DC Movers for a Saturday at 9am and they didn't arrive until 5:30pm... Once they arrived, the movers- Fred & DJ were excellent and very careful with our furniture. We tipped the movers appropriately but tried to negotiate a discount with the moving company since they were 8.5 hours late... Long story short, they only offered us a 10% discount and charged our credit card without permission (we tried to pay in cash to avoid the 3% fee). Also, during the negotiation talks on Monday afternoon, Jessica at the main office accused us of "yelling at her" and "acting a fool" and then hung up on us. Incredibly, horrendous customer service. DO NOT recommend using this company.

I recommend this moving company. They moved me at the end of June. They were very professional, courteous, punctual, funny, and helpful. One of the beds needed a certain wrench. One of the movers made sure that he had the correct wrench and they were able to set my bed up. If I ever need to move again, I will definitely call the DC Movers.

We went on the website and hired his company on a special that he had three men and a 24 foot truck for 299 on his website The moving man showed up two men and a 16 foot truck all of my stuff would not fit on the 16 foot truck because I was moving a two bedroom house we had to sit on the side of the road watching our stuff for hour and a half until he sent another truck from Raleigh which was the one I should’ve came the first time 24 foot truck to us they already start loading the 16 foot truck so we had to wait until they got on talking about what they were going to do who was going to leave and go back to Raleigh for 15 minutes because they were saying how the boss won’t right he don’t do people right Because once again we paid for three men and a truck he sent 2 and the 1 man went back to Raleigh somewhere and left us again with two men and a truck so then they started unloading the 16 ft truck took them 45 mins then We had already sat the majority of the boxes and stuff at the end of the road trying to help with time because they already told us that he was going to try to add money at the end of this so finally after 45 minutes of unloading the truck It was time to get the other stuff that was left in the house with just a couple of things So we go to the other house and unload the workers the whole time and telling us we going talk to him because he shouldn’t charge y’all y’all had to sit on the side of the road this that and the third so when it was time to pay this man charge 551.00 never again will I deal with people with shady businesses If your workers don’t have no respect for you then we all know you are no good in business it’s about the money not the costumer please don’t waste your money on him because he doesn’t stand behind his advertisement which he told us it was our fault that he hadn’t updated his website it states three men and a truck for 299 that was our fault because the website was wrong don’t do it he’s a shady man we will see you in court believe that don’t use him please don’t

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!!! PLEASE SEARCH THE REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY AND IF YOU CHOOSE TO HIRE THEM, DO SO WITH GREAT CAUTION! FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE COMPLAINED, YOUR REVIEW CAN IMPACT THE NEXT PERSON, BUT CAN BE EVEN MORE IMPACTIFUL WITH FILING A CONSUMER COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB ( My complaint is being escalated beyond common platforms but I have to share. This company has forged my signature! It wasn't until my bank intervene with my dispute for the supposed overage in my move that I FINALLY received a copy of their "invoice" the "check in/check out" sheet." I was told by Jessica, IF I WANTED A RECEIPT, IT WAS UP TO ME TO REQUEST ONE! Which I repeatedly asked the driver Fred for while at my home. He kept telling me he had to go....... The bank requested documents from DC Movers and the supposed "receipt" displayed a signature that was not clearly mine. The document itself appeared altered; containing different handwritings and inks used!!! I too requested the Economy Package for $299 for a 1 bedroom apartment. We had everything readily available to grab and load. The flyer that interested my peak to solicit their services showed 3 men and a 24' truck. Not only did they send me 2 men but the movers arrived in a SMALL BUDGET RENTAL TRUCK! The movers arrived on-time, let's just say between the pants hanging and smell of alcohol, these are not certified movers! The movers were very SLOW, and REFUSED to move all of my belongings because (1) the truck was too small; (2) Drivers kept taking excessive brakes; and (3) The movers shared they were told to only move "the heavy stuff" and not boxes or totes!!!! I used a stop watch for these guys and I tell you, they love wrapping your items. We had to tell them repeatedly to STOP WRAPPING SO MUCH AND GET MOVING!!! So, Jessica when you prepare your crafty reply to MY REVIEW, and you have for all that I've read, please remember you have already shared your "sorry" for my inconvenience, and don't forget to share how you want to point out that "your movers are professional and hard workers, who pride on handling your items with care and the fact that nothing was broken, you conclude the services we hired were completed!" Yes, Jessica has some great rebuttals and when not being rude, will lead you on to believe they are a professional company! I am still awaiting for an itemized bill or explanation of charges, instead when my bank intervene, prior to escalating my complaint. Once the bank got involved, DC Movers found they overcharged me $15.48 but never explained how or why they were refunding me. WATCH YOUR TIME, CHARGES AND THOSE WHO MOVE YOU, if not, you too will be on here posting a complaint! IN ORDER TO STOP COMPANIES LIKE THESE FROM SCAMMING YOU WITH FALSE INFORMATION, WE HAVE TO PLACE THESE COMPLAINTS WHERE THEY MATTER THE MOST - BETTER BUSNIESS BUREAU - AND the ATTORYNEY GENERAL OFFICE -

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! FIRST OF ALL, THEY ARRIVED 40 MINUTES LATE. I had signed up for the 3 men, truck, 2hrs = 299.00 special. I was moving out of a 1 bd rm apt and Everything was packed, stacked and ready to be loaded. I had even hired additional labor to help UNLOAD the truck once we arrived at my new place. This all would have worked perfectly if (1) they would have arrived on time (2) the 3 man that I requested had showed up. Instead I paid time & 1/2 for the extra labor to assist. Then when speaking to the manager on the phone, there was No "sorry for the late start" "we apologize for your inconvenience" just that "we are charging you for the 2 man rate, instead of the 3 man rate. Well excuse me, that's not the point. What would have only taken 2 hours would have taken 4-5 hrs if I had not pulled in extra help. This was an additional cost I had to cover. NEVER AGAIN!! To be clear this was the Durham Office on Miami Blvd, not the Raleigh office (at least that's what is on my contract).

DC Movers were great! They were quick, professional, and were careful with all of our items. We didn't even hesitate for one second to book them again for our next move. Would HIGHLY recommend!
