We're new in Durham, looking for a pharmacy. My husband's prescription was ordered two weeks ago. They didn't have it in stock, and no one contacted him. He called today, was on hold 30 minutes and gave up. He called another CVS in another town and learned that CVS doesn't stock that drug. This is not going to be our pharmacy.

My wife and I got our fifth COVID shots at this CVS location, not far from 15-501 and the shopping centers with The Fresh Market, Target and Discount Tire (South Square), and Li Ming's (Westgate). This CVS is in a freestanding building in the same shopping center as Harris Teeter (The Commons).We chose this CVS because we each have already gotten at least one COVID vaccine at a CVS and therefore, our information was already in their system. It made signing up for an appointment fast and easy. We also chose this location because it had the vaccine we wanted - the one that targets the latest Omicron XBB.1.5 "Kraken" variant - in stock. Pfizer Comirnaty 2023-24.Like our previous experiences getting COVID vaccines at CVS and elsewhere, the process was quick, simple, and free. Before our appointment, CVS sent helpful emails and texts with clear instructions and information on how to check in, what to expect, etc. After our appointment, we received emails with our vaccine administration records and info.My wife got her annual flu shot at the same appointment. Convenient.This is CVS store # 4391.

Pharmacy manager Karen was so rude and dismissive when I was trying to make sure the medication for my baby that they did not have in stock (despite the automated CVS service saying it was ready) would get transferred to another pharmacy. She walked away from me when I was talking and asking some clarifying questions. I waited in store while I confirmed another pharmacy had the medication to ensure the process went well and she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I cannot imagine treating a customer that way. I’m in healthcare, I understand the stress and would never treat someone that way trying to navigate a tricky system.

The pharmacy doesn't answer the phone, but instead, puts you on an interminable wait. First time was 15 minutes before I hung up and tried a second time. Now I am up to 5 minutes and counting--still waiting. On top of that, they cannot supply something as simple as syringes in one week's time. They then suggest trying a different branch. You have to prompt them to inquire for you and let you know which branch to go to. When you go to that branch, they weren't informed by the first branch that you are coming--and they don't have the product either. What a screwball operation--whoever are running CVS must be the cheapest bastards on the planet to understaff and understock so severely.

I have never written a review in my life but their pharmacist should lose her license after the way she treated me. She made me go on a goose chase to get a medication I was prescribed from my Doctor and it ended with after 3 days of calling I had to stand in CVS and watch her make the phone call and once I finally can confirm that she did in fact do her job and I can leave peacefully. As I am walking away to the other customers standing there I can hear her audibly laugh and say someone is having a bad day. Yes Sara, I am in fact having a bad day after you basically withheld my medication and made me live in excruciating pain for 3 extra days than I needed to.

Came for a flu vaccine because the sign says \\\"walk-ins welcome\\\". Pharmacist said appointment only. Time to retrain your pharmacist's or change your store policy.

I used an extracare coupon to place a pickup order online. I got an email 2 hours later that my order was cancelled. It didn't state the reason but I can only assume that it was out of stock by the time they started working on the order. It's a little annoying since that's the reason I put in the pick up order since I can't make it to the store until later in the day. The email said they would reissue the coupon but I'm not sure how long that takes. When I went to check it, it said the coupon has already been used.

Pharmacy has terrible service. Went there today and the drive through signs were on the ground so it was unclear which lane was for Covid testing until you actually got to the window. Once you got to the window it was noted on a hand written piece of computer paper "this line is for Covid testing only" I had to circle around and get back in line to wait again. Then had to come back later to pick something up and they had closed the pharmacy early.

This is a worse CVS than most. It was mobbed during a rainstorm and had only one cashier. Also I couldn't get the discount I expected (too bad for me).

That experience was Super let down... terrible. I went in there to ask a simple question about how to go about getting an inhaler and the pharmacist working there was so uptight about it. The way she was responding to me, I think she assumed I was going to abuse it at first... and then I could tell that she just got tired of my questions, period... either way, that whole experience was super distasteful, unprofessional, and disgusting. I felt like I went in there and drunk poison for no good reason at all...Definitely no way to treat a curious customer. Won't be coming back again. I know she's not responsible for my emotions after the fact nor before, but it's on all of us to consider how we relate with others in all of our interactions.

The store is great the pharmacy must be the the worst pharmacy I have ever used. Every time I pick up it's not ready, Inorrect , etc.. my dog Maxx could run if better. Bye Cvs !
