“Such a special place! I was in Durham for work and stopped by on a whim. My favorite shopping experience is one where you can talk to someone super smart and stylish who will talk you down from all your neuroses. On that front, V&V delivers! Everything they stock is beautiful and well made, and the women who work here are consummate pros who will take you, your concerns and your taste seriously. I had the best time talking to Nia, trying on pieces she picked out for me, and getting some stylist assists from Stephanie. One of their regular customers even helped close a deal by walking in wearing a great pair of jeans (tried them on + bought my own on the spot.) 10/10 retail experience.”

“Wide selection of rare items. My wife loves the Fulani earrings. Artist are actually there selling their art during shows. Ask for Hakim by name he is always helpful and he can look at a face and see challenges far in advance in time to keep things in check. They have a line of deodorant that does not hurt my sensitive skin. There is even a knowledgeable notary public there or on call just a few minutes away.Some of my favorite items are the hand bound journals the bamboo spears and staffs with the crystal or glass tips.My wife loves the henna artist that can come to the store and create henna works of art that are breathtaking.The unique collection of books like "Fatina and the gold Adornments" by S.M. Sheikh.Then, there is the jewelry. One of a kind artisan made pieces that stand out in a crowd. The bags like the over the shoulder denim two tone blue bag put such a smile on one customers face I had to take a picture. ? Exotique is one of thoses stores that you have to visit several times a year to get the full breathe of the items that are constantly brought up and replaced with a seemingly endless supply of eclectic gems from over 40 local artists from around the world. Where else are you going to find a Nnenna Freelon's grammy nominated cd selling next to an 8 year olds first commissioned very beautiful art "two dogs". I took pictures but go see for yourself and let me know if I am off even a little bit.”
“This store has an awesome selection of men's & women's & children's clothing, boots, hats, belts & jewelry, etc. The jeans from this store are the only jeans I wear. They fit great & are great quality. Lots of bling on some jeans for those who like to sparkle, like me. ? I have recommended this store to friends. Go-you will not be disappointed. Very helpful staff.”
“I was getting incredibly frustrated with finding a decent pair of jeans and after trying a few stores at the mall, I was about to give up! I decided to give Lucky Brand a try before I went home and I’m glad I did. Dionne welcomed me into the store right away and offered to help me find what I was looking for. She was very friendly, inviting, and knew what she was doing. The process of trying on jeans can be overwhelming, but it wasn’t here. It was easy and fun! I highly recommend shopping here, especially when Dionne is working. I will be back.”

All the employees there are so nice, especially Jess, one of the managers. She helped me put together a dress type look with a body contour one shoulder top along with a ruched skirt!! She is super friendly, stylish and knowledgeable about clothes and style. I am allergic to polyester so she took the time to help me find a black top without polyester to match my Future Collective skirt from Target.
Also, a huge thank you to Tiffany at this store! I asked her if she had been working here long and she said, “no.” She was able to help me with a rustic brown/fall color body contour top and baggy drawstring pants to go with it. She was patient with me when I had so many questions. I really appreciated her help. She said that this color top would work for the fall and I could wear it with a Jean jacket.
I came back another day with my boyfriend and told her I needed to try both things on again because the pant was long and I hadn’t tried it with my shoes that day when I bought it. I tried it on with my shoes and it was too long. I asked her what else I could wear with it, but she wasn’t sure how she could help because I couldn’t buy jeans or anything with a zipper due to some weight gain. I then asked her if I could wear it with leggings and she said that would work.
If you ask me she has excellent fashion taste and customer service skills. She was so helpful and patient with me just like Jess, the manager. I hope she gets a raise because in my opinion she sure deserves it! I will def be back here.

“We were at Southpoint Mall yesterday after traveling from Virginia to have my daughter seen by her doctor at Duke. We used to live in the area and my daughters miss Urban Outfitters so we always stop in when we travel to Durham. While we were shopping a storm was brewing outside, we checked out and went to leave the store. While debating whether to try to make it to the car before the rain or go back into the store, the biggest bolt of lightning struck what seemed like feet away from us. (Now that I’m calmed down and less terrified, I’m thinking it struck the metal rod sticking out of the Cheesecake Factory. ?) We ran back into UO like lunatics. My 8 year old was absolutely terrified, shaking, and hyperventilating. I wish I had gotten her name but a blonde employee with the coolest outfit and the kindest smile came over and asked if my daughter wanted a cup of water to calm down. She checked on us often during the hour we were waiting for the storm to pass and her kindness was so genuine and appreciated. I made mad dash to our car once the rain lightened up and my girls ran to the car so I didn’t have a chance to thank her. Urban Outfitters is our favorite store and we especially love the one at Southpoint. If you are ever going to get nearly fried by a lightning bolt, UO at Southpoint is the place to do it. To the pretty blonde with the warm smile and excellent fashion sense, thank you for your kindness yesterday.”
“While I went for the simply southern line and they didn't have what I was originally looking for on display, I did however see they had some new items. I saw some new toys and some new simply southern items and a few new yetis which I might have to come back for lol. I saw these cute little breakfast teddy bears for $7.99 I almost got every single one they had. There was some new teeturtle plushies as well. The new yetis had some vibrant colors I had never seen before which caught my eye. Simply southern had come out on display with raincoats and Sherpa shorts which I had definitely never seen them before. I think I might have to make a palmetto trip soon lol.”
“Awesome store, very friendly and helpful staff !We spent easily almost 2 hours the first time buying clothes for my wife and grandkids ??Then we went to the Food court inside the Mall, to have some dinner, delicious Indian food.And we went back out to the GAP, to buy more clothing for our daughter’s family for at least another one hour and a half.And all that time, they let me sit on(@) one of their display tables since I’m struggling with my back pain.The gentlemen, like Chris and Tay(or Té) and then another one whom I don’t want to butcher his Nigerian name , these guys were all very attentive and entertaining!Errol”

Service was great although the wait was a bit long, maybe 15 minutes. No issues with those waiting in line. Checkout was smooth.”
