Brought in my 10 year old BMW in for an undiagnosed problem (smelly smoke from up front). Kevin quickly figured out the problem, ordered the parts, and had it fixed quickly. Much friendlier and less expensive than the dealer. I have been going to Clayton's for at least 10 years and impressed by their competence and integrity. Can't recommend them enough.

Kevin and Wayne are top notch service ticket writers.
Yes, they do try to upsell you on additional service and repairs, but in my experience it is only been what is in relation to what they are working in. For example I needed a repair where my manifold had to come off, Kevin suggested that I go ahead and get my spark plugs replaced while they had access to it. The additional cost of labor for that made changing my spark plugs at a shop totally worthwhile.
I worked on cars since I was a kid, so I have a really good working knowledge and understanding of labor for repairs and how long it takes to complete a repair and what a reasonable cost would be. These guys have never charged more than what I thought was a reasonable price.
I've been to five different mechanics since moving to the Durham area and something has just missed at every other mechanic that I've gone to but Wayne and Kevin have their shop running like a top.
As long as Kevin and Wayne keep writing the service tickets at Clayton's I don't see the need for me to go anywhere else for my repairs.
