I wish I could offer this doctor’s office a higher rating but I cannot simply due to their lab/blood work operator “Quest Diagnostics.” Quest has continuously made errors with my medical billing and has charged me for blood tests that were clearly covered by my insurance agency on my EOB. Even the staff at this doctor’s office have admitted to me that numerous patients have experienced problems with Quest Diagnostics. This leads me to ask why does this office continue to work with Quest? Can they not contract with a different lab provider?Because of the difficulties I have experienced with Quest, I will be looking for a different primary care provider. I hate to do this because the doctor I have seen at Bull City Family Medicine has been great and the front office staff have been excellent. But I cannot continue to go to a provider whose lab/blood work operator has continued to mess up my medical billing. Bull City Family Medicine, PLEASE fix this.

Where do I start? The doctor I saw made disparaging comments about unhoused people, spewed racist opinions about Latinas, and offered a pap smear when I was there for a check-up & I already have a gynecologist. I was also charged $150 for routine bloodwork because they contract out their lab. There are so many better places to go — don’t bother with this place.

I was really nervous about finding a new PCP, but after one visit I know I've found my provider. From the moment I walked in for my first visit, I felt welcomed & heard by everyone. I went for a new patient visit/physical, and PA Hemmings was wonderful. She was easy to talk to, listened to my questions and concerns, and provided thorough feedback & detail with absolutely no judgement (truly refreshing!). From walking in & filling out new patient paperwork to walking out, including full physical & bloodwork, I was there for less than an hour. Everyone that I encountered in this practice was kind, welcoming, and responsive. I've so far only been for one visit, but I know I've found my new doctor's office! Highly recommend.

Leaving a five star review here because this practice has been nothing but wonderful for me and my family for more than ten years. I was sad to see so many negative reviews. Many reviews mention long wait times but this has not been my experience. The waiting room is comfortable, there's wifi...I have never struggled to make an appointment and can frequently schedule a same-day appointment if I am sick.High quality care. I do wish that there were some diagnostic capabilities on site because I seem to frequently break my spine but I have no idea how feasible that is. Free lollipops at the counter would be a nice touch. Just saying.

Used to like this place. I have multiple serious issues so wanted to see MD instead of PA or CNP. I had to wait over an hour, though I understand this happens. However, he rushed me in and out all in about 12-minutes without even hearing all of my issues (including numb, almost paralyzed parts of my body). Before I knew it, he was handing me receipts and saying "see you in three months"... and often not letting me complete a sentence. Very upsetting, after driving an hour and having scary medical issues. It seems the PA's or CNP's are good and will listen, but at least not the doctor I saw.

I really like the doctor I see here. Unfortunately, some type of strong deodorizering products or cleaners are used in the building. I start having asthma symptoms every time I'm in there. It's created a barrier for me to be able to get care for my allergies. I wrote the office staff about the problem and they were dismissive. My experience with the office staff in general has been very negative. They give off the vibe that my asthma issues are an inconvenience for them. I've stopped getting my allergy shots since they haven't found a way for me to get them without having asthma from the products they use in the building.

I used to get extremely nervous going to the doctor. I went 12 years without seeing one because of the anxiety. This place is amazing. They really to care about you and your health. I have a great doctor that I recommend to all of my friends, and I no longer have anxiety about seeing a doctor ? I highly recommend this place for your family!

I’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else but it’s incredibly sketchy. I saw Dr. Shah two years ago and loved her - I made an appointment for a preoperative clearance, she asked about my medical history and satisfied the requirements for my surgeon in another state. Two years later I get a bill in the mail for $300. According to my insurance I was billed for both a pre operative clearance and physical in the same appointment and even after meeting my deductible they wouldn’t cover two appointments in one visit. Makes sense right? So I call and try to get clarity because I definitely didn’t schedule a physical - I set up my appointment to satisfy a preop checklist for clearance. My medical notes say cpe; however, the tests, procedures and conclusions reflect what is satisfied under a preoperative clearance. The billing department swears up and down that I should be coded for both appointments instead of just coding for my preoperative one. After reaching out to my insurance to inquire about the coding that was input I was told that one was specifically for abnormal menstruation ?? I only mentioned this in relation to my medical history along with my other ailments like you’re supposed to prior to surgery? I didn’t set up an appointment to talk about this, get advice or obtain medication, a diagnosis etc. I’ve had a previous diagnosis for pcos - it’s just part of my medical history. Now I’m told because I mentioned having irregular periods in the past, this now constitutes the visit also being a physical? It makes no sense. I have never paid out of pocket for a physical even after mentioning my medical history. Now I’m being threatened to be sent to collections because I didn’t budget for a bill I was never supposed to get. This has been incredibly frustrating and tiring and I feel like I’m running in circles to pay for a service I didn’t receive. I’m fairly familiar with medical coding and I highly suggest you double check what’s being charged to your insurance because I know I’m not the only one this has happened to.

I have been a patient at Bull City Family Medicine for several years. Dr. Shah is amazing! She listens to your concerns, she address your health issues without judgement and does the best she can to help you. I always leave feeling empowered to do better and try harder at reaching certain goals set for me. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Shah.

We really like the doctors and would have scored them higher but it’s impossible to be seen when you’re sick. Never a single sick appointment available for weeks out.

I do love this practice and have been with them for over 20 years. The Doctors and Nurses are wonderful and do all they can to help. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is their wait time over the past few years. Just be aware you will probably see your Doctor around an hour after your appointment. Schedule your day accordingly.

Be careful with this practice. They are rude when making appointments and do not make you aware of " no show" fees. Of which are $100.00. Seems to be some sort of scam going on here.

I haven’t been with Bull City Family Medicine very long, but my experience this far is an A+. Being a working mom with little to know help is tough, but something I knew I could handle. It is nice that the facility was willing to work with me electronically when I needed school forms filled out and records sent over. A lot of places would have turned their chin at me for suggesting a faster and more convenient method. Very nice, very clean.

Tess at the front desk was incredibly hard to work with. Instead of taking a note on an appointment I was trying to schedule she kept forwarding me to nurses that were not even scheduled that day and didn’t allow voicemails. I had to call 4 times to finally just get a note left for the nurses to have my appointment scheduled.Beyond that she was incredibly unfriendly and seemed unwilling in any way to make the experience easy and quick.Disappointed in this type of service.

Dr. Shah cares about her patients. Really fortunate finding her as my primary care Doctor. Her staff are friendly and caring also.
