I do not recommend this location. I was a huge fan of Aldi for years and have been shopping here since it was built. I attempted to buy some gift cards on display here only to discover after paying they were not authorized for sale. I was still charged the $200 despite the fact that none of the cards could be activated and the transaction was voided at the register automatically. I have contacted Aldi in person, by phone, and email six separate times and still have not reached a resolution. After a month of constantly contacting them they've agreed to refund me the amount but I am in the process of waiting for it to process. As a former Aldi lover I'm very sad I have to say in my opinion it is safer to take your business elsewhere.

The small size of the store makes it easy to get in and out quickly and the prices are very affordable. It seems that they have added delivery and curbside pickup services.

Hello everyone! This branch is in a great location and easy to access from US 40. It has self check-out. Staff is helpful and nice. The only issue is when items need to be restocked, it takes longer time. It might be because of the store not having the items in their storage or it might be because of the lack of man power to restock the items on the shelves.

I shop at Aldi anytime I can. A lot of their produces organic and it’s good to stop in first to get basic staple items. There’s no fluff.

I'm a new Aldi shopper. I've never really shopped there before, but since I've been trying to save a bit of money I thought I'd try it out and wow people do not exaggerate the savings. I bought do much stuff for under $100, I was shocked. This one is a little messy, but they all may be like that? I'm unsure, but either way, I didn't mind much. It is very crowded though, but that's expected with most grocery stores. The self checkouts definitely allow for things to move much faster. You can't use cash at self checkout though. They have a great selection, I love their brand of Oat milk and Oat milk creamer. I'm always trying and finding new things at Aldi!

Three stars...great deals, fresh food, decent selection...little or no employees with long, long lines. (I know COVID, labor shortages, blah, blah, blah).RETURN VISIT. Shelves were full, the employees are all great. There was one register open but they opened two more once the line grew long.January 2024, The store is neat and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. They had everything I was looking for!

It's a lot of fun to shop here. So cheap and efficient. Their produce is great. They have meats and charcuterie type items that normal stores don't have.

Produce great prices. Seasonal aisle was torn up and low on stock. It was in the evening so it might have looked better earlier in the day

My wife and I have been to this ALDI in Durham a few times. It's OK. It's pretty much the same as the other ALDI locations we've been to. This is the only ALDI location in Durham. It's located just off I-40 exit 274 on NC highway 751. ALDI is known for low prices. The company cuts costs in a variety of ways. One of the well-known ways is requiring customers to insert a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. If you return your cart, you get your quarter back. This saves ALDI money because they don't have to pay someone to collect carts and they're less likely to lose or have damaged carts. ALDI also charges for grocery bags, so bring your own. Locally, they're like Wegmans in this sense. My dad used to shop regularly at one of the two ALDIs in High Point. He seldom goes now. He liked to mention that ALDI owns Trader Joe's, I think because he thought it was an interesting fact. Food Lion has been his go-to for decades, before and after ALDI. One of my wife's memories of this particular ALDI is having to stand in line outside in the summer heat during the pandemic. At that time, ALDI was only letting a certain number of customers in the store at a time. That was back when the City and County of Durham had mask mandates.

Well-organized, but the self checkouts are always dirty and grimy with dried liquids. They appear to almost never get wiped. It’s a shame!

Good location and great value. I've enjoyed many of my purchases and have found some tasty or helpful products here. I'm also glad that they have added self-checkout stations. I am more interested in shopping here with self-checkout, as the checkout process feels much faster after their installation; the lines are shorter or faster to go through. The store is well-lit, generally tidy and well stocked, and has a decent variety of product. However, I'm taking a star off for the strong smells I sometimes encounter here. I have definitely walked away having bought nothing when the smell is bad; it isn't encouraging customers to buy food or other items when it smells gross. I hope they consider tossing, changing, or reconsidering their cleaning products or how they are stored. Sometimes the store is fine until they start their mopping/cleaning process; whatever is in there is chemical, gross, and generally unpleasant. I stopped in today and bought some things for someone nearby in need, and ugh what an awful smell. If it were just purchasing for me I may have left. I have literally appreciated competing stores for their pleasant smell upon entry and during the shopping experience, so hopefully this is something they can address for themselves as well as their customers.
