Good meats and cheese. Home made sausage is the best either fresh link or dried. OMG the pork rinds. I bought a bag and took them back to work, between myself and those at work that bag was gone at the end of the day. I will drive down 242 from Benson again just for the pork skins.

Mac's has the best Air Dried Sausage, in the area! I hadn't been there in over 15 yrs, and stopped in to get some Sausage last week. Couldn't wait to fry some up that night.. It is still the best Air Dried Sausage, anywhere around here! I'm going to start making it one of my regular stops to get more!

Absolutely love this place. Friendly service and kind people. Freshly made pork skins are so much better than store bought. Love the dried sausage as well.

Passed here on the way to daughter's new home. My wife wanted to stop and look around. She bought fresh pork sausage and blueberry jelly. Both were fantastic, a marked difference from what you'd find in a chain grocery. Thank you for providing quality goods and furthering the reputation of small business owners

You can't drive down Highway 242 between Benson and Salemburg and not stop at Mac's. The sausage is legendary, but there is also hoop cheese and a great selection of ole' time candy. Highly recommend the double dipped chocolate peanuts. Super friendly staff and always a welcoming mix of locals too.

The employees ( clearly all family ) and local characters made this place. My late grandmother spoke of air dried sausage growing up, she lived in coastal NC so i'm unsure if this is authentic to her experience but I fried some up this morning and WOW what flavor.I picked up some NC red hots and cracklin. The pork chops looked amazing and will have to pick them up next time i'm anywhere close to I-95

I walked into the store at 1:00 on Tuesday August 30th I proceed to the back two ladies were in front of me I had no problem with that so after the lady behind the counter help them and wrap up there sausage and cheese and saw them on their way she goes to hanging sausage Lord I have been patiently waiting there the whole time so I asked her can I purchase some hog head cheese she told me that what she had was only for customers behind the glass she refused to sell me any I asked was there any in the back she said they had none in the back I seen that they get this stuff in cases and I was only asking just to see what she would say and I truly felt racial profile it's sad to say I have been going there for a long time but will not be returning all I can say is that little short hair lady behind the counter I hope you find peace in your hateful heart I'm praying for you? department Lady
