Horrible. I am disgusted with this company.I am from Raleigh and paid $30-$60 a month for gas. I moved to my home on in Angier on Nov 2nd and was charged $400+ dollars for the initial installation. Its only Dec 20th and I have 10% left in the tank. I called to put money on my account and I was told that I have to put a minimum of 100 gallons in the tank which is $336.94 and they will come in 2 WEEKS.... I would have to pay $460+ for them to come in a few days.THAT IS $400 A MONTH FOR GAS!!! Thank God that my water pump is electric. They know that people need heat so they jack up the rates and it's ridiculous. Hopefully I have enough gas left to stay warm on Christmas. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!

There are no words to express the amazing above and beyond customer service that we have received from this company. Our first experience was a few years ago when we were new to the area and were not prepared for an impending ice storm. As we pulled into their parking lot they were leaving for the day to get ahead of the winter storm's hazardous road conditions. The gentleman turned around and reopened to accommodate our purchase of potential heating needs with products they had in stock. Since then we have received nothing but great service. Once we were ready to install our propane tank and logs there was absolutely no question as to where to call. Again, they went above and beyond and we are thrilled with the result. I highly recommend Charles Tart Propane.

Very disappointed. Ordered and paid for our propane almost two weeks ago and still have not received. They will not even give us a delivery date. Just keep saying “around the end of the month.” We have four children and would like them to have the heat we paid for...However if we pay an extra $75 it can come today?! Wow.

I went with these people after much research and because I wanted to stay local. The reviews were all so good so I signed up. Last year the driver came out and filled my tank, normally I check after they leave but I did not this time. The driver has always been nice. Several weeks after the delivery, the weather got quite hot and as I was going outside I heard a loud sound, hissing, like gas leaking, decided to check the tank and it was not questionable that I had a real problem on my hands. I immediately called the fire department - come to find out the driver had filled the tank to over 95%. This was a very dangerous situation according to the fire department and they spent over 3 hours at my home trying to cool that tank down. They told me that a burn would not have been as dangerous as free gas to me and my neighbors. Tart did reimburse the charge for the fill. The fire team leader said he had not heard of this company before and gave me a recommendation for another company. I did not cancel service at that time as I wanted to wait until the fall which today I decided I would do today. I spoke with Monica who thinks I was telling a lie when I told her that her driver told me he usually overfilled the tanks which as God is my witness he did tell me. So, I am no longer doing business with these people and it makes me sad that they would put me in danger and then not trust what i was saying. I don't think they are bad people but you need to pay close attention when you get your fill - dead matters a lot.
