108 Sea Tern Dr EThis was a family group stay from Sunday to Sunday. Received a call informing that the rental was ready approximately 1330 hrs Sunday. I understand that a pet friendly stay has an extra fee for cleaning. However the rental was not clean. I guess the cleaning fee is for their benefit, not the patrons benefit. Monday morning when the sunlight hit the floor, dog hair was everywhere. I spent about an hour vacuuming the whole 2nd level (dining, sitting/tv room, kitchen and bedroom) and behold the dirt collection canister was 3/4 full of dog hair and other debris. Had to do a few repairs, toilet flush handle loose and the chain on the flap came off and got stuck where the water continuously ran, one of the tubs wouldn't drain because of the sand packed in the drain plus had to purchase a shower curtain because it was filthy, the entry door handle was so loose/falling out it was hard to open(tightened it), and a few other things that needed to be done. The pool dude did an excellent job however a better debris screen would've been nice to deal with the leaves.

Sun Realty is a wonderful group. the original rental we selected became unavailable due to some unexpected circumstances and Sun Realty already had it handled before contacting us. They located another pet friendly rental in close proximity to the one we had originally selected. The location was fantastic a very walkable area which we all enjoyed. They were even so kind as to provide information on skate parks and since they knew we were cooking Thanksgiving dinner there they made sure a roasting pan was in the home for our use. Truly wonderful customer service we will definitely be using Sun Realty again. The staff are wonderful and so very friendly. Thank you Sun Realty team.

Reserved with a holding fee of $60 a rental in July 2022 for July 2023, knowing the possibility of the owners not finalizing the rentals. I received an email in September that leases would soon be sent. I continued to check and nothing. Then, I emailed in late October double checking and was told they were still waiting on the owners. Today, November 16th, I received a two sentence notification that my reservation was cancelled, would I like a refund or other options. Now, I do want to say, I completely understand when an owner decides to use the same week, but with such a late notification, options are limited. A phone call, instead of an email I would think is the least that could be done.

Always a pleasure to work with office staff. We will see how this house fits our family vacation in 10 days. Last year was fabulous, minor repairs needed to a dresser that the front handle fell off when the drawer was opened. Someone's child left a dinosaur in the bedding from a previous week. Overall very happy with experience with Sun Reality.

I was really pleased with my experience with Sun Realty! The condo we stayed in was awesome—very clean and well maintained— and there were absolutely no issues. We stayed in a keyless property, so we were notified via text when the property was ready (which was a couple hours ahead of schedule!) and completed check out online when we were ready to leave. I realized on the way home I had left some things in the closet (pregnancy brain) and called the office and spoke to Kimberly. She was super nice and helpful and passed along my request to the housekeeping department, who called me within hours to let me know they had my items and were dropping them off at shipping.I was a little nervous because some of the reviews I had read weren’t great, but as I was booking later in the season, I had limited options in the area and price range I was looking for. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience and would definitely book through Sun again in the future!

Not sure what the owners of the rental properties pay Sun Realty for. We pay $1,800 per night to come to a house full of empty soap dispensers and an empty propane tank on the grill. I called and asked them to bring a full tank of propane, since this should have been checked before we checked in. The response? "Go exchange it and bring us the receipt." For every waking hour, I'm paying over $100 and you want me to take time out of my day because you didn't do you job? Real nice. No thanks. Renters and homeowners beware.

My family has been using Sun Realty for almost twenty years. Every year we find the perfect home and every year Sun provides excellent customer service. I highly recommend renting their properties or using them as a property management company if you need one.

Stayed in "The Wright Duck" in Duck. Rental was beautiful but having to carry all our luggage and groceries up 4 flights of stairs in 90 degree+ humidity weather was horrible. A ramp would have been super helpful. Should have maybe read the description better. Anyway check in was suppose to be 4pm, looked again said 5pm. I called the office a little before 5 due to the fact that they were closing and was assured it would be soon that we would get our code...nothing..called back at 6 and of course closed, had to call the emergency number and left a message. Was on our way out of the parking lot to try and find a room for the night cause it didn't seem like us getting our room code was a high priority. 6:30 I finally get the code. Very displeased with Sun Reality on this one. Drove 10 hrs and then around town for hours expecting to be in our rental at 5, so yeah that kinda ruined our cheerful moods and set the pace for the week.

We spent one week in the condo and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The condo was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The walk to pool was minutes and to the beach about 10 minutes from condo to our chairs. The town of Duck is quaint and the boardwalk is peaceful and fun! We played corn hole at night, tennis in early morning, surf fishing, kite flying (300 ft. in air for several hrs.) and attempted volleyball!

Had a wonderful time at the beach this year! Mac Duck was the perfect distance to the beach! The only disappointment we had was our early check in! I paid the $145 and was told we could check in at 1! Verified before we arrived and was told we were good to go at 1. When we arrived and after trying to check in at 1 we were told check in was at 3! Poor communication between reservations and the check in office!!

Sun Realty was really helpful when we were looking for our perfect family vacation house. We had no problems with reservations and everything worked out well. We’ve already reserved the same house for next summer.We’ve gone through Sun Realty for almost a decade to help us have our best family vacation. I would recommend Sun Realty 100%.

1. Kept me informed of the status of my rental. 2. Provided me with an update on issues reported by prior renter, just before we reached the community.Both of these were appreciated.3. One thing, and I don’t know how to resolve but was a bit of a disappointment, setback. All documentation related to the rental said to prepare for a 5:00pm access or later. Not to be on the premises until I received notification that the property was cleaned and ready for usage. If in violation there could be some sort of ramifications (I forget the exact verbiage.). So, we planned our trip with the idea that we would arrive in Duck about 5:00pm ( I think it was about 5:05 when we reached Duck, 5:10 to our property.). The issue; I received notice a little after 3:00pm that our place was ready for us. That’s nice to be early, but impossible to respond to the early check-in time when you are traveling from out of state. So, while it was only 2hrs, it was 2hrs that we could have enjoyed at the place, with an earlier departure time, shorter, less stops on the trip. Maybe the best solution is to either guarantee an earlier check-in time (since checkout is 10:00am. No one needs 7hrs to clean a house, change the beds. Realize there are multiple homes to clean each turnover, but you should know based on the # of teams, people and homes to be cleaned, how much time is needed to complete all homes.). Or, only allow those that pay you the early check-in guarantee fee to actually check-in prior to 5:00pm. All others should get their access notice at the ‘non early’ check-in time. Telling me that was place was ready while I was crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel did nothing to help me or any of our guests.We really couldn’t plan to arrive in the area prior to accessing our property because two parties had a dog. So, having lunch and hanging for an hour+ at a restaurant prior to our rental really wasn’t an option.Again, a minor issue and tough to resolve, but need to give it some thought.

Our AC went out and the house ended up being over 85 degrees with children in the house and of course couldn’t get anyone on the phone resulting in us leaving early because it was so hot in the house. OCD-30 left a lot to be desired, photos need to be updated. Bathroom was filthy and floor wasn’t even swept when we got in. Unfortunately we won’t be using them again.
