We made a special trip here during our visit to the OBX. We stayed in Nags Head and it was about 30-40 min drive. The owners were so helpful & friendly and the establishment was so cute. Our shorkie was very happy with all of the special treats we brought him back!

Stopped in with our 4 month old pup last night. She barked incessantly the whole time we shopped. The owner/employee there didn't bat an eye. Instead she scooped her up and hugged her and was very understanding that she is still learning. The aroma in and outside the shop from the home made treats is so delicious. They also host a fun "yappy hour" locally on Wednesdays and suggested we come back today. So glad we decided to attend because that too was amazing. Highly recommend everything about this business!!

Can not make a trip to Duck without stopping into my favorite Doggie store! I love how dog friendly Duck is, and this store exemplifies that with all the home made dog treats and accessories! I can not go home without another t-shirt from the Outer Barks! Love!

Love this shop, very pet friendly. The staff is amazing and helpful. Come down on Wednesdays during the summer for Yappy Hours. I visit every year, now I'm hoping to bring my doggo here soon.

I want to start this off by saying I really like the products that this store has and was happy with everything I purchased. What I did not like was that the owner’s dog was off-leash (even though there is a sign outside saying every dog must be on leash in the establishment). I’ll start this off by saying that our dog does not like when other dogs bark at him because of past trauma and is protective around food. The owners dog (understandably) barked when seeing our dog which set our dog off. We moved him to the other side of the shop (the owner and their dog were back by the bakery section) in order to give our dog treats and calm him down. The owner’s dog (who really was very sweet) followed us in an attempt to get attention and the treats we were giving our dog. Because of this, we were unable to get our dog to calm down and my husband had to take him outside while I made the purchases. While my husband was trying to remove our agitated dog from the situation, the owner insisted on taking photos of our dog during which their dog continued to try and approach our dog. I had to lure their dog away from mine with some treats I had in my hand and after my dog finally left, the owner said, “No more treats from her. She’s had enough.” I was only giving her treats to get her away from my agitated dog since her owners were not doing anything, so this comment frustrated me. Overall it was a fairly negative experience for us and our dog.

Cute little shop with some unique items for our four legged friends. I absolutely found the cutest raincoat for our little dog. We did buy some homemade treats from there but unfortunately our dog was not a fan but not going to fault the shop for that. Great customer service, highly recommend if you're looking for something different for your furkid.

Most fantastic shop for your furbaby!!! A must stop when visiting the Waterfront Shops in Duck! We, along with our puppy Cider, were welcomed by the amazing owners. The shop is completely dog friendly, a water bowl front and center for thirsty dogs. The aroma of handmade dog greats filled the store with smells of pumpkin and other treats of the best quality-baked right there in the store. The selection is endless and all made with the best ingredients for your dog! the best Our puppy was loved and hugged and we shopped human apparel and toys for dogs and cats. The atmosphere felt like you had walked into an old friends home! We left with a bag of goodies and the joy of knowing that anything in this store is made with heart and care for all furbabies! Highly recommended!!!

This cute dog shop was a pleasant surprise when we visited the Outer Banks for our anniversary in February. The owners are the most friendly and welcoming people and we had the pleasure to spend some time chatting with them. It is always nice to meet dog lovers who are as passionate about animals as we are! We went back to visit before we left and brought our pups to say hi! They had everything you need from toys and medical products to a fresh bakery in the back. Their bakery smelled so good it was making me hungry! We got a few samples of their dog treat and bought some as well. I highly recommend anyone stop in there to get your pet a treat or anything they need!
