Look no further, the Ted Birmingham team is terrific. We needed approx. 1300 square feet of oak flooring sanded, stained and sealed, and we needed it done quickly. After scouring reviews for multiple companies, we settled on Ted Birmingham. Our initial contact was with Ted himself, who interrupted his haircut to take our call, which in hindsight was the first indication of the customer-oriented approach we would enjoy throughout. Ted then connected us with his son, Tucker, who served as our point person for the project. Tucker came the following morning and provided us with a written quote the same day, breaking down each element and explaining the process and timeline to us. We cannot say enough about how well the process went. Tucker and his entire team were punctual, polite and professional, with a keen eye for detail and a diligent work ethic. They showed up exactly when they said they would, worked straight through until the job was complete (including over the weekend), and produced beautiful results. We had a change-order (adding a stairway) along the way, and they accommodated us without missing a beat. Topping it off were Tucker's communication skills, which are excellent. He kept us constantly informed and updated, and responded to text inquiries immediately. They will be our first and only call for flooring needs going forward.

Birmingham just finished removing tile in our kitchen and replaced with hardwoods to match the rest of the house and refinished existing floors. The floors are beautiful! Cort Birmingham was very communicative, on time, professional, accommodating and the quality of workmanship was great! We are thrilled and would recommend highly.Big plus is they cleaned up after themselves everyday! Also, pricing was affordable!! Cort and his guys were great!

Had a great experience working on this project.everything that was quoted was done right on time and neatly.. i would highly recommend Ted and dont waste time shopping around. These guys did everything i asked and was very satisfied.

This is the second time we've used Birmingham Flooring to refinish our floors in a recent move. They also were able to match the flooring and tour out the carpet of the bedroom to extend the Hickory floors into the bedroom. Beautiful job and seamless work. You can't tell what is new and what is refinished!! Wonderful staff and great customer service!!

I can't praise Birmingham enough. What a transformation!Communication, installation, value and results are all A+. Cort and Destin are the best! I will give Cort a call for any future projects and highly recommend Birmingham to friends and family.

Just a few of the hundreds of pictures of damage done by installers. Cort said he would pay to repair but now that the job is complete he is saying he will not pay to repair. Extremely dissatisfied, disappointed, and inconvenienced.Update: these are not false claims. As I said today, 1/31/24, when you called me to confront me about my review, I have proof of everything you’ve said and all the damage that was done. Again, if you have anything further to say to me please contact my attorney as he has all the information and proof which I’m happy to post if you continue to try and discredit my review. I no longer feel comfortable with you communicating with me in any way or via any method.

In January of 2023, we purchased a rehab home in south Charlotte. The house was vacant and in one day my wife and I met with 12 different companies for work that needed to be completed. We had three quotes from wood flooring companies to refinish the existing 2.5 inch red oak and then install the same oak throughout the entire first level of the home.A friend suggested I reach out to Birmingham Hardwood Floors. I spoke with Cort and was immediately impressed with his knowledge and responsiveness to my questions. He was prompt and patient when he looked at the project.The quote for the work was competitive and we made the decision to use Birmingham. The project was extensive as we have about 1,700 sq ft downstairs and the existing flooring had water damage. Working around other projects and dealing with the inevitable hiccups of a rehab, Cort was consistently willing to execute to the highest standards. I have a rental condo in uptown charlotte that had original hardwood floors from the 1990's in the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. I got 5 quotes to refinish the existing hardwoods and lay matching hardwood in the bedrooms. The quotes ranged from $5K to $25K, with limited details on how the contractors arrived at the quotes. I was then referred to Ted Birmingham Hardwood Flooring, and Ted Birmingham himself came out to see the job the next day. He gave me a quote the same day, and walked me through the differences between the quotes I had in hand, and his quote. He was not the cheapest quote I had, but he clearly articulated the differences in materials and processes vs the other quotes, which built confidence that he was the best option for the job. He and his team delivered exactly what was promised, on time with no surprises. He owns the company, and he was on the job site every day providing me updates.
