I've been going to Studio Sixteen in Denver, NC for years. Emily, the owner, has been my stylist for the past couple years and I thought she had a good understanding of what was important to me concerning my hair especially since it has been getting thinner. And I trusted her to take good care of it. I went for a haircut on February 7, 2024 and was looking forward to getting it styled by Emily. It was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. She turned me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing. Emily totally disregarded the thinning of my hair and pulled out a whole lot of it with her round brush and blow dryer. She cut the back of my hair a lot shorter than the front and very UNEVEN. I trusted her to take good care of my hair and obviously I shouldn't have. After I went home and realized how badly Emily had damaged my hair, I went back to ask for a refund and she refused. I've had to take all kinds of steps to try and repair the damage Emily caused to my hair. I feel sick that I was such a bad judge of character.

Carley Schellhorn has moved to Salon Lofts - Loft #13
Worst haircut of my life. Emily cut a zig zag into my hair when she was trying to angle it in the front. Now I have a nearly 2 inch chunk of hair that's just a weird uneven lump.

Love this place! We moved to the area 6 months ago and I did my research before scheduling with Sudio Sixteen and they did not disappoint. Beautiful, clean salon with friendly, knowledgeable stylist. So happy to have found a salon right down the street!

This place is definitely deserving of the 5/5. Clean, cozy environment, smells nice, wonderful staff, and Emily does great work! I’ve had trouble finding someone to cut my hair and had too many horror stories. Emily listened to them all, used her best judgment and really took my breath away with the results! Just got a wash, trim, and face frame cut. her styling, methods, and finishing touches are everything!! Go give her a visit.

Marisa is amazing at what she does, she is the first person since I've moved here that has been able to do my hair exactly how I like it . I have naturally curly, thick hair and she has zero problems cutting and styling my hair. I'm happy to say I have found my stylist in Denver!Services: Blowouts

Well, today I went to this salon for hair color and I got what I asked for plus a black forehead. The stylist Emily (not the owner) let me leave the place with lots of tint on my forehead, been trying to get it off for about 3 hours and NOTHING!!!! This has never happened to me before, other salons are always very careful and make sure to take care of it before I leave. Pic looks better than it really is, Do yourself a favor and DONT CHOOSE EMILY ANELLO!!!!!

I went here for a year and loved Carley. Then I get a call that she isn’t at this salon anymore and I could see someone else. It was a week before my appointment and I really didn’t want someone new. The other stylist was never very nice to me anytime I was there, so I wasn’t interested in seeing her. I was lucky to find Carley’s new salon though!!!

I’ve been going to studio 16 since Emily moved to this salon. (She was in CLT. Before) I have had great experiences every time and when I’m a pinch I can get in! I’ve here are 2 Emily’s that work here one is the owner and the other is my stylist. They are both great I would recommend this salon to Everyone in Denver or close by!Services: Blowouts
