I've been going to Studio Sixteen in Denver, NC for years. Emily, the owner, has been my stylist for the past couple years and I thought she had a good understanding of what was important to me concerning my hair especially since it has been getting thinner. And I trusted her to take good care of it. I went for a haircut on February 7, 2024 and was looking forward to getting it styled by Emily. It was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience. She turned me away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing. Emily totally disregarded the thinning of my hair and pulled out a whole lot of it with her round brush and blow dryer. She cut the back of my hair a lot shorter than the front and very UNEVEN. I trusted her to take good care of my hair and obviously I shouldn't have. After I went home and realized how badly Emily had damaged my hair, I went back to ask for a refund and she refused. I've had to take all kinds of steps to try and repair the damage Emily caused to my hair. I feel sick that I was such a bad judge of character.

Well, today I went to this salon for hair color and I got what I asked for plus a black forehead. The stylist Emily (not the owner) let me leave the place with lots of tint on my forehead, been trying to get it off for about 3 hours and NOTHING!!!! This has never happened to me before, other salons are always very careful and make sure to take care of it before I leave. Pic looks better than it really is, Do yourself a favor and DONT CHOOSE EMILY ANELLO!!!!!

Started going to Studio Sixteen when I moved to Denver 6 years ago. They are the best! Very professional and knowledgeable about different hair types and styles that work well. The environment and staff are welcoming. They use Aveda products which have calming scents. I highly recommend them!

I’ve been doing Essentrics with Kay for 4 years, making the classes an enjoyable, regular part of my week. Not only are the stretches/exercises strengthening and toning, Essentrics with Kay, keeps me pain free!

Wow. I went to this salon about 6 weeks ago and saw a stylist named Carly I was referred to her by someone I met through my sons school. She hardly introduced herself and seemed to be in quite a bad mood. She was also one of two stylist so we kept getting interrupted by the phone or somebody coming in, the salon was messy and seemed unorganized. I found that she made my salon experience unenjoyable but besides that, at the age of 52, I have NEVER received such a bad haircut or such ORANGE chunky highlights in my life. I got less than 10 highlights but paid for a partial highlight (which at other salons I always seem to get more) With the amount of interruptions I don't know what I was expecting. She appeared to be rushed from the moment I got in there and had no personality. I have since had to spend a fortune to get my hair back to blonde and I'm still growing out my choppy short layers. I usually don't write reviews but if I can help even one person from getting there hair done by Carly then it'll make the world a better and more beautiful place.

Carly is the absolute BEST! She takes her time to get to know your hair (if that makes sense) and makes magic happen.

After being a customer over a year, my stylist left. I am SO unhappy with my visit last week. I went to someone highly recommend and it was awful, nothing like my past experiences. If I could give this place no stars I would. Terrible customer service. Terrible experience. I will not be returning to this salon.

I had rotator cuff surgery this past April, and joined Essentrics after I was cleared by my surgeon. Essentrics has definitely helped me get my range of motion back. I highly recommend Essentrics, it’s a great full body workout.
