Great park. I really recommend going the path less traveled and exploring more than just the hanging rock overlook as in my opinion, the others are better and far less crowded.Dog-friendliness: Didn't have our dog this particular trip but plenty of dogs out and about.Picnic area: Designated picnic areas as well as nice places to eat at the overlooks.

Hanging Rock is a great getaway that's just outside of Greensboro. There is really cool geology to be see and plenty of trails to choose from. I really enjoyed seeing the beautiful waterfall and how close you can get to it. Definitely going to be a reoccurring trip for the family.

Best start park of NC, gem of the area. Campgrounds should get away from sand though. Gets in everything. Diverse hikes, waterfalls, views and a lake for recreation.

That has been a truly amazing hiking ever. There are a lot of trails that end up with unexpected challenges such as rivers, creek crossings, and lots of rocks to claim on.I would absolutely recommend that you should check out this place.As a side note that this place has “Timber Rattle Snakes ? “. Please be extra careful with kids around.Playground: Good!Restrooms: Very warm and pretty clean!Dog-friendliness: Oh yeah!!!Picnic area: Awesome!!!

They changed the trail, not a good change. They have removed the climb at the top third of a mile. Now it is just a clay/gravel path all the way to the top. I was looking forward to the stone steps.

Freezing ice cold showers, only 1 bath house working and only 1 of the water spigots worked. Very disappointing
