Lockman Pottery

Hours: I work with locally dug clay to create pots mostly for everyday use. Slips and glazes are composed predominantly of local materials, such as the clay I dig, granite from my drilled well, red clay, kaolin from a local mine, road stone and stone from a local quarry. I fire my kiln with #2 diesel oil. Add wood and salt to create, enhance a glazed surface. Market my pots locally at the Southern Arts Society gift shop in their Art Center at 301 N. Piedmont Ave., kings Mountain, N. C. Hours 10 to 4 Tuesday thru Saturday.
