We called Freeman Gas on November 27 to pick up our tank that we had moved to the driveway. We were told that it would be picked up that week. It was not picked up until December 27th. We called almost a dozen times throughout the month and were told several times by their employees, including Shannon, that it would be picked up the next day or that week. When I last spoke with Shannon, prior to the pickup, she assured me that she would have a manager give me a call, Mark Broome. Mark never called me. It wasn't until I spoke with several people on February 14th that the following day Mark called me. Also on February 14th I spoke with Beverly, she took my email address as I requested a copy of our final bill which was never sent to me. She did not send it and I had to call back later that day in order to finally get it.When we called initially for pickup, and a dozen times thereafter, we were never told there would be a pickup fee. It wasn't until I spoke with them on February 14th that we were told this is $100. When looking at our bill it does not denote a pickup or any type of recovery fee, yet a MISCPART item. This is very deceitful and unethical. I was told I signed something and had asked for a copy of that. I only received a photo of the backside of a document, not showing any signature or any proof that we have signed it. I have again requested this but have not received anything. I have the document from when the tank was delivered and the front does not show a signature and the backside of it does not show what they have sent. Again, this appears to be unethical business practices.

I am very disappointed in this business. I was interested in purchasing gas logs for my home and visited this business to set up a date for the estimate. I was given a date for the estimate ( Jan. 17 ) but after taking off work no one ever showed up to give the estimate. After calling I was told that due to a family emergency no one could meet with me but I never received a call telling me no one would be coming. I decided to give them another try and was told someone would be out on Jan. 24. but once again no one showed up or called. I assume they do not need the business but would have appreciated them not wasting my time. Horrible customer service.

Screw this company and their corrupt practices. They charge me a “tank lease fee” every year, for a tank that’s been here since the 90s. They’ve made their money back many times over for that tank, but they’ll still charge you yearly if you don’t use enough propane for their liking. They’ll also overcharge you on any part they use on your tank, and they’ll charge you an hour and a half’s work, for work that really took 30 minutes (that’s a nice 300 bill). I hate this company so much.

Great when you need their services. Very professional and courteous! They get you your gas quickly. The only problem is when I’m on a budget and say that I can only afford $100. Worth, for some reason the gas thing want shut off and I get a larger bill. Other than that, I recommend them for their promptness.

We have done business with them for several years now, don't need to go anywhere else. All I have to is call and WHAM they are here. Great people to work with. They treat you like family and that is hard to find.

I called several places looking to get gas logs installed and went with Freemans Gastonia because they seemed to be the most attentive and interested in getting my business. I have not been disappointed. They have exceeded my expectations every step of the way.
