REA is absolutely wonderful and I’m so glad I live in a region serviced by them. The power very rarely goes off, and in the event it does, the crews work hard to get it back on quickly. The crews are helpful and polite. They responded extremely fast to my report of an outage! I cannot recommend them enough.

The lady’s in the building have time and time again been no help when it comes to asking questions. Very rude and condescending, no reason to have an attitude every time we come in. If this wasn’t the only electric company around the area, we would not be using them.

Honestly do whatever you can do to not live in an area service by them. They have cause my family and me an absurd amount of stress and I feel really sorry for the people who work there.

They care more about money than people. It’s really sad for our community.

The women in the office are EXTREMELY rude and Not at all helpful. They should not be treating customers the way they do.

They came and ripped up the entire yard. Grass and trees that are nowhere near a powerline.

Extremely poor customer service. I managed to get my power restored, after paying a fee. They are a co-op, so they do not have to act civil. We had a death in the family and before I could switch the electric into my name they decided to disconnect on a freezing cold FRIDAY evening. That's right folks, and going through the office is the only way to fix the problem. Office hours- Monday-Friday 8-5. Keep in mind that I called them with a credit card in hand, but had to change the power over into my name (by submitting a NOTARIZED application) before anything could happen. It just seems messed up that the provider vital service that provides the energy to generate heat in the winter would have the gall to disconnect the power on the most inopportune day and time. Greedy? Maybe, Rude? Yes, Scrupulous? Absolutely not. Seeing how the only options are to live like like a neanderthal, generate your own power, or deal with these guys- I guess I'm stuck putting up with piss poor service.I would like to note that the operator who helped me get an emergency reconnect was the most helpful person I have dealt with at this company. The bylaws, policies, and ethics are just screwed up at this company.

306 million in total assets, and yet you couldn't be bothered to help your local community poor during covid-19. This company, required all pre-pay (poor customers) to convert to post pay in order to make a payment arrangement after the moratorium ended. This means that any crisis money given by the government (600) went to setting up a new post pay account, with an over 400.00 deposit, plus one time fees, totaling near the crisis funds limit, leaving any unpaid moratorium debts to be paid by the customer over a 6 month time span. Can't afford, you go without a necessary service. Kudos for showing your values.

REA is an awesome company to work with. Large enough to provide great electrical services, yet small enough to have personal concern for their clients. They recently called my elderly mother to inform her that her power usage had made a significant increase in the past week. She ended up having a bad water leak. Thanks REA for the heads up!
